Boubacar Kamara

Cannot believe his technical ability and his game intelligence. So calm in possession and so aggressive in the tackle while not going over the top.  Best nicker of a ball in the world.  Today was everything i believed Dug and Boubs could be. Perfect double pivot.

We wanted Bissouma. This guy is on a whole different planet.

We’ll definitely run out of superlatives for this guy as the season wears on.

He’s a Rolls Royce, a genuine £50M+ player, we need to build a team around him over the next two or three windows, fingers crossed we can improve enough to keep him here long term because if not, it’s gonna be damn hard to convince him and I’m confident the elite clubs will be all over him before long.

He’s superb. The way the game is gone you are at nothing tackling and going to ground to do so. Even if you win the ball, he’ll give a free against you. This guy has the ability to tackle whilst staying upright. Wins the ball, because he isn’t sliding he can’t be penalised for a follow through. So essentially the only way Kamara is giving away a free is if he is overly physical with elbows in a tackle - which he isn’t. He can’t shoot for shite but i don’t care 😂

What a pair him and Luiz are becoming together. Probably the best midfield pairing outside the top six or seven teams.

With all due respect they’ve owned 3 of the top 7 midfields in recent games.

Don’t think any other fans or pundits have realised yet just how good he is. Nice.

Good. He isnt flashy like making slide tackles or popping in shots from 25 yards so the clickbait clowns havent copped on yet

Said it before,  he is the best Villa midfielder since Gareth Barry. He is really only short of popping up with some goals to be complete

He doesnt get many assists but he doesnt pass backwards to keep possession for the sake of it

He was absolutely brilliant today. He complements Dougie so well. It's the classic holding pairing of a destroyer and a passer, but the great thing is Kamara is actually good on the ball as well. Hard to really find fault with him tbh.

The more you watch him you wonder how the hell he’s ended up at Villa.

What were all the CL club scouts thinking not going harder after him given he was free.

Really wanted him to lace that one in with his left foot to top off another first class performance.

He's 23 and on £150k pw (second highest wages at the club). I wonder if we just outbid for him and guaranteed a start every week, and he / his agent probably thought in that case there's no rush to go to a CL side. He's the kind of player who should be able to perform well into his mid 30s.

Obviously the narrative was that Stevie convinced him, so fair play to SG if that's true, but I'd imagine it was a more strategic decision from him. He knows that once he's got a season or two under his belt in the PL, the CL sides will be coming in for him anyway. Main thing we need to do is progress quickly enough that he feels comfortable staying here.
