so thats 2 goals, and 2 assists in 3 games isnt it?

Hope he's fit, his stats are only half the of it, if he keeps it up these next 16 games and signs, the statement it makes and the appeal of this club to other big names is huge.

We have to finish this season string in order to sign Phillipe permanently as he is just different class. He is, AT LAST, that number 10 we've been praying for since his fellow countryman Juninho slipped through Doug's wallet all those years ago. Keep him and build that team around him.

Wow, he’s not even fully fit and he was phenomenal. The little drop of the shoulder, the intelligence, the weight and timing of the pass, the flair. This guy is awesome. I was a little worried after so long of not panting regularly, but he’s only going to get better as he gets more fitness.

It’s a shame he will play for a big club next season, should have been an 18month loan

He's played at "big" clubs for last 4-5 years.

This spell of games has probably been more enjoyable for him than 90% of his spell at Barca anyway.

Who knows? He seems to be enjoying playing at VP and at this stage of his career perhaps he fancies being a leader of emerging team with some talented young players than just going back to a squad player at CL club?

Think we need to shake off this mentality of getting nervous/despondent whenever we sign a top level player? People constantly call for club to sign one and when we do already he's not going to stick around long.

We have some sort of agreement with Barca who want him desperately off their books so I'd day we're in a strong position personally.
