Shit. Contributed heavily to one of my top 30-ish albums of all time, Songs for the Deaf, by Queens of the Stoneage. 

Wasn’t too familiar with is other work, other than his longtime collaboration with Isobel Campbell (who is another personal favourite of mine from her time with Belle & Sebastian.)

That's an absolute ****.

One of my favourite male vocalists and creator of some utterly brilliant pieces of music.

Was lucky enough to have seen him live a fair few times and he was always on top form.

Ah man. It’s such a f***er

I’d just picked up my first fare tonight with Marc Riley on the radio and he announced it and just broke down on air.

Never seen Mark Lanegan play that I can remember, so that’s now definitely a regret.

Switching to a ML playlist on Spotify now

so gutted!
