I'm really worried now. Seems like Beale was the manager and Gerrard was just the face of it

Well the public-facing stuff and transfers have been good and the on-field performances have been largely disappointing so on that basis the right one has left.

But Beale is a "genius" and got "so much football knowledge"

6th if you count some games we lost as wins.

14th if you count some games where Steven Gerrard managed Rangers.

Gerrard is a manager. A large part of that is replacing staff. It's normal. It shouldn't be a huge deal.

In still not sure how Beale is a genius like aside from some football hipsters on twitter or YT saying so who've never seen him coach a session or manage a squad.

Don’t care about them either but Gerrard also thought he was the genius, that’s the worry that he’s now gone as Gerrard said that Beale managed the sessions.

It’s a big hole in our coaching set up and philosophy that has been worked on for six months with the squad, now we are getting a new coach and a new way of training.

Is it going to be another transitional period while the new main coach implements his style, or will we be lucky that new ideas hit the ground running.

We finished 14th. We brought in a CL winner and a 120k left back in January. We didn't win a lot of games we should have won.

This table from x date needs to stop.

It's fair to take into account the whole picture. Fact is yes we finished 14th. However, it's reasonable to consider the table from when Gerrard took over. If you choose not to even consider that then that's up to you. The table from x date doesn't need to stop if people choose to take that data into account.

Put me in the camp that thinks it’s good leadership and encouraging that Stevie empowers his assistants to the point where the players respect their impact to the level Emi is describing.  That’s a pro, not a con, to me.

Our form in 2022 has been poor so that needs to be taken into consideration

No offence, but that's bollocks.

This is an inexperienced manager who is over reliant on someone, to the point where Beale sounds like the manager and Gerrard merely sounds like a figurehead

9th is no doubt better than 14th.

How many points was it that separated those clubs in the middle including us in the form table?

Over 27 games -

7th Man Utd 41 points

8th Leicester 37 points

9th Villa 35 points

10th Wolves 35 points

11th Brighton 34 points

12th Brentford 34 points

13th Palace 33 points

14th West Ham 33 points

15th Burnley 27 points

It was somewhat of a cluster between 8th and 14th.

And a somewhat reversal in form from the first 11 games.
