Still three days and not the night before or two nights before.  He’s not a player that it affects his fitness.  I’ve been on the same page as you for so long on wanting Gerrard out but this isn’t an issue for me much.

You called it right, Nick. Fair play to you for that. Just a father and husband enjoying some downtime with family.

Interesting! Just shows the different perspectives.  As long as it didnt affect his next day duties, it doesnt bother me.  Obviously different for players because their fitness is their business but managers and staff, it's no biggy for me.  If he turned up with a massive hangover I would have a big issue but otherwise no issue.  I suppose it's more normal in my industry where discussing contracts over the space of a few days or more, you tend to socialise somewhat with clients at night and while never getting drunk we have a few drinks and then back to the grind of discussing the contract the next morning at 8am.  I'm not currently doing that type of work at the moment but it was very successful part of my career and building client relations and business.  This is different because he's having (or not having) drinks with his family and friends but it's still drink, food? and socialising at night with work the next day.

If we put him on hunger strike will he last till the world cup?

He doesn't look hammered to me. Looks like a dad that's only got 4 hours sleep due to a newborn.

Much like the performance against Chelsea wasn't terrible, this isn't an issue.

There are plenty of other issues though, and I'm shocked he still hasn't been sacked.

It’s not his baby, it’s the pub owners but there’s nothing I hate more than pearl clutching over normal private life things managers and players do.

Not sure why @TRO gets stick for being what I myself see as being quite neutral and open to debate.

Everyone has a different point where they say enough is enough, it’s all very subjective and Tro just plays devils advocate more then defending Gerrard from what I have read on here.

That's precisiely correct Tommo, but I don't care, if folk agree or not.....I just post my opinion.

However, I do not dismiss, what the majority are saying on here, they might be right, even though I debate with them, to seek perspective.....I am just not convinced, by some of the claims, derived by deduction, only.

SG is being hounded, just like SB was......and some of it is personal, which I am opposed to,  but losing games, allows for the personal digs to be hidden behind.....some claiming to be driven by the football results, were having sly digs on day one. I wonder if so many claims would be made if we was winning most games.

I see the " just lining himself for the Liverpool job, seems to have been archived"......just one of many snide, remarks to a young manager.....seems like young players, get a considerate stance, but young managers don't.

The smart money is on him having 2 games.....and after that, the naysayers will have their way, because, I just can't see us getting anything against Brentford, and Fulham maybe a stretch too.

You are bang on with your assessment of my comments......I cannot defend the numbers, 4 wins in 21 or 7 wins in 24 is no where near where we want to be.....but some of the stuff written, about him is just speculative.

Which turned out to be the correct decision.

Look, @TRO has been on the forum for years, Dale - he might not be having a good time of it lately but I'm sure things'll pick up when we get a new manager in

Now that is funny......"Hark at the pot calling the kettle ,black"

I must confess, I am beside myself, with the results.....I am just not as sure as some of where the whole blame lies.

I don't know any Villa Fan, having a good time of it, unless you have a sadistic nature and just want a young manager gone, for what 11 experienced (International) players are dishing up.....or a recruitment team, that struggle to find players with an effective nature.

I will support a new manager, with the same vigour as I support them all......but I, like any other fan, cannot preside over the number of losses and lost points, that we are accruing.

Ahh thanks. I imagine he's having the same effect of sleepless nights from the mess he's making of his job. Guess my point stands, he looks tired not hammered.

I think that’s fine too, my comment was more about if he was getting wrecked and no doubt feeling it the next day. Wouldn’t be very professional.

I very much doubt he was anyway.

I’m trying to identify a genuine highlight of Gerrard’s reign. I cannot think of one.
The closest is probably the draw with City this season?

Leeds mate. We gotta give him that at least. Was great giving leeds a pasting
