Leon Bailey

As others have said playing him midweek for 88mins when the game was over at 3-0 and subbing him today when he was the most dangerous going forward, had lindelof all over the place, ended any hope for a winner

A tactical change that cost us the game.

It’s okay to call Unai out on his mistakes, it doesn’t mean anyone’s turning on him. That was a blatant error imo.

Sent out the wrong signal as well. Bailey off tielemans on meant all the players assumed a draw was a good result.

Bailey was struggling to get back to help Cash and Unai wanted to solidify the midfield with Kamara off. So choice was to keep a fresh Diaby on or a tiring Bailey?  I can see his logic tbh.

Our best attacker at moment, scared United shitless

First half he was on the fringes but second half he was really getting at Lindelof which was expected with an average CB playing at full back.

It was bizarre to take him off as in the same stoppage Man. United took off Rashford who was having a spell of deciding not to bother to track back so we had the momentum down the left at that point.

It's been an odd use of him since xmas. Not starting v Newcastle and only coming on when we were 3-0 down and producing a brilliant cameo then playing whole match v Chelsea when the game was over after an hour and then being taken off tonight when the game was very much in the balance and tilted 60-40% to us.

As someone said imagine Spurs suddenly just having Son on the bench for 3-4 games after an injury and also subbing him off if they were level with Man. United with twenty minutes left.

Perhaps he just dosen't have that status in Unai's mind but he's the best match winner we have currently so needs to play as many minutes as body will allow rather than getting withdrawn for "tactical" reasons.

He doesn't usually play 90 minutes and thats an issue

Managed 85 minutes v Man. City. That was my barometer for today. Give him another ten minutes against Lindelof and I'm sure he'd have created a big chance or got a better shot from a breakway than Diaby did.

So try to get 2-1 up and then take him off with five minutes left to manage the lead or just do it at 1-1 to protect the point. Taking him off a few minutes after we scored was way too early.

Huge error by Emery today, a really, a really bad decision to take Bailey off. He's been our best player for a while now, and had already bagged an assist.

It annoys me no end that Bailey still has his critics, what more can a player give, without doubt, he has been our most consistent player and the stats speak for themselves.

He's odds on for our player of the season, imo. Today's news is just the icing on the cake.

Don - Dadda, long may you reign!
