Completely agree.

The Man City today was a different attitude to the one against Leeds.

Can you elaborate?

In what way was their attitude different?

Did they think "we're not winning this one today lads, let's hit the post a few times though just to prove we tried" against Leeds, whereas tonight they thought "let's fvcking show these plucky underdogs that we mean business with a crushing 2-1 victory!"?

Or was it something else?

We really need, as a fanbase, to drop this narrative whereby Leeds have been lucky this season and other clubs have been wasteful against them.

They are set up to rock the opponent, disrupt their game plan, and make them doubt their defensive capabilities.

By contrast, we are not.

And concede like crazy!  No point doing that if you concede as many.

(zero goal difference)

no but they met a Citeh that were wasteful and hit the bar+posts all game. the Citeh we played today looked a lot better.

But why do they always look better against us?

Apart from the outlandish 7-2 v scousers we ALWAYS end up cannon fodder against the top sides. Very **** predictable and annoying.

We’re always going to struggle when we give the ball away so easily, are not competitive when it comes to loose 50:50 balls and are panicked into the incorrect decisions.

Having said that, I thought we scored too early and City had more gears even if we had managed to get a foot hold back in the game. When their passing game is on, like it was tonight, any team look like they’re chasing shadows.

Oh, and Foden is one hell of a player

On to the weekend, UTV

Impressive performance from Man C except for Stone of course. What a git.

Even with 10 men they looked pretty much in control but Cash blew our chance of putting that to the test. No idea what was going on in his head in the first 10 minutes of the second half but he seriously let us down.

We were very sloppy in midfield.

And we were destroyed on both wings over and over and it’s really only down to our central defenders that we kept the score down. Konsa marginally the better so he gets my MOTM.

Smith’s substitutions were predictable and ineffective, although Barkley looked a lot brighter than recently. Maybe....???

Not a performance to remember.

Leeds have spent she'd loads its it a myth they haven't.

How long did the 10 man advantage last tonight?

No but that's the point. It wasnt that we couldn't lay a boot on them. They gave us an advantage and we messed it up. We were getting on top before Cash moment of madness.

Sorry it's not you specifically its loads of comments. When we lose to a bigger team the same lines are rolled out over how superior the opposition are.

If we'd lost the 7-2 against Liverpool 2-0, then youd have had loads of posts saying "they're the champions" "we didnt stand a chance" "it was a free hit" "these arent the sort of teams we should get points from". Wouldnt mind so much if wed beat likes of Sheff U and Newcastle.

This perspective of not being too critical because "we almost nearly didn't get beaten by the league leaders" needs to go.

It's small-time and a total abdication of competitive spirit.

It's one of the major reasons we've none nothing since 1996 despite competing in 4 cup finals. We were just happy to be there. Some fans are just happy to be in the league playing against City knowing we'll survive another season here.

It's getting embarrassing to be quite honest.

I know you are taking the pee but Man City’s attitude was spot on tonight, they clicked so well and the ball stuck to Foden foot in the first half almost Messi like.  Man City against Leeds was slightly off but they still had 71% possession and had 29 shots with 7 on target but only scored 1.  That could’ve a different result as Leeds only had 2 shots, 2 on target and 2 goals.
