Don’t doubt he played a lot in the season before. I have nothing against Traore btw. I just don’t rate him very highly at all. As I’ve said, Grealish aside (world class), I don’t think we’ve had a top half standard wide forward player since we’ve been back in the PL. yes Smith played Bailey on the left and Buendia as an

We’ll strengthen in the Summer though and hopefully we won’t even lose the 1 So there it is. You don't want some current players to improve under Emery because you don't rate them and don't stop telling everyone about it. srsmithusa
I'm glad Bertie's back... Always unpredictable and creative. Emery can strap some discipline on his back he could be quite good.

ozvilla28
Far from world class he was Jack very good player through , but people over rate him. I rate Bouba Kamara better player then him and a bigger ceiling.

Think he could actually fit quite well into how we are set up now.
Popular Post Jas10
Ok, to step back and to take a more neutral or pragmatic view… having Berty back with us is kind of a win-win situation… He’ll either play well and improve under Emery, demonstrating how much of an asset he is and maybe stick around. Or he has more exposure as a squad player for us and impact player from the bench, and a chance to put himself in the shop window moreso and raise his value, so if he is moved on at some point, we should be able to get a decent fee for him… basically, there’s no downside to having him back and involved… I just can’t see him doing so poorly that he barely has a look in and doesn’t do anything worthwhile, especially under Unai’s management and coaching. He’s not going to be frozen out (again). He will get goals and assists for us… that will really help us out.

Just catching up with the press conference, everybody is available apart from Jed Steer, Diego Carlos and Bertrand. Diego and Bertrand are close to full training as far as I understand it but not yet ready for action.

If Grealish wasn’t world class the season before he joined City, I don’t know what world class is. What he’s done since and continues to do is irrelevant. Kamara is indeed a very good player, but not a patch on Jack at his best. Not yet anyway. 8

Yes, surely needs context - disposessions as a percentage of touches or similar. Without this, you might well say e.g. that Peter Shilton has a much higher number of top flight goals conceded than Orjan Nyland
