Can you not just quit with the constant never ending negatively please?

What's the point in coming on here and spending hours posting endless negative posts over and over again?

I really would like to understand why you feel the need to do this?

But you are speaking non sense.

It's not a given we'll beat the teams in and around us.

Norwich, Southampton and Sheff United will all be very tough games for us. You seem overconfident.

Well yes, you could say that because we have had a horrific run.

We may have played nearly half the league but we are still to play 2 of the bottom 4 and most of the top of the league have been away games.

If you literally can't believe we are better than most of the teams around us just look at our goal difference compared to theirs.

The points will come over the next few games once we have finished this simply awful run of fixtures.

Our biggest problem is the points we have thrown away

Throwing away points will catch up with you in the end, we should have at least 5 more points than we do. Yes we have had some tricky games but we have chucked away points like nobody else

We should be sat on around 20 points by now

Many will be scared to admit it and will come up with all sorts of excuses to convince themselves otherwise, but we simply must win one of the next two against either Leicester or Sheffield United.

Think we'll draw with Sheff Utd and lose to Leicester

Problem is we've already played nearly half the season and we are not exactly pulling up trees.

And people are just assuming we'll beat the teams around us.

I remember that attitude when we played Bournemouth. Ridiculous cockiness pre game and we lost the game.

Yes, we are where we are for a reason, and it's because we've been one of the worst teams in the divsion so far, that's not being negative, it's what the league table clearly tells us. If we want to stay up we're going to have to improve.

Lampard said it was one of Chelsea’s best performances against us. And a few days later they do that.. seems teams know they have to raise their game against us, it’s almost like when we were in the championship. Can’t they look at us as if they don’t need to try and get surprised by us.

Not agreeing with this 'simply must win' stuff at all. There are times in the season when that applies but not yet or close imo. It's not 'excuses' either. All games are tough but if you win 2 games or even win and a draw in that bottom half you move up a few places. Of course we have to improve and be better, it was always going to be a tough season.

I don't get why some do this whole 'My opinion is more correct than yours' stuff with all this 'won't admit' and 'excuses' stuff. These kind of things are absolute poison on a discussion forum.

It's fine for Smith to say we go in to every game to win it, but you can't go in with the same game plan. Against the lesser teams it is okay to go in with the more adventurous players, but we need players who can keep possession when we are against the better teams. The last few games I have watched, we have given the ball away so many times when making simple passes. We try to rush things and a misplaced pass puts the pressure back on us.

Successful teams are built on a strong core, i believe we have that in the middle of the park, but the defense and attack aren't doing what is expected of them. Changes need to be made tomorrow.

Chelsea were good, but we also didn't turn up.

We allowed them to do what they wanted. We showed no aggression which has been a big problem so far this season. We look scared at times as a collective.

our biggest problem i think this season, we we arent getting "lucky" versus the bigger clubs, but unfortunately all the clubs around us seem to be picking up points versus these teams (Everton beating Chelsea, Norwich beating Man City & taking a point off Arsenal, Southampton taking a point off Arsenal, Newcastle beating Man Utd, Spurs & taking points off Man City)

overall might inflate the required points to stay up, hopefully we get 9 points minimum from the next 5 league games, can see this season being a particularly difficult year for the points total to stay up. (current point av. for the current 18th placed team at the end of the season is 38 points, which is higher than a fair few of the last decade or so)

They've lost 3 out of their last 4.

Obviously the win had to come against us...
