Score doesn’t reflect the game. We should have wrapped it up at half time.

But to be fair I actually think Blackburn were much better than Boro and Derby. They weren’t  team that played with no pressure and gave us a good game second half. We defended well as a team.

The goal we conceded was poor all round. McGinn unnecessary foul, wall didn’t jump, steer error and slow reaction from the defence.

But we won and that 5 in a row. Unfortunately it’s still not in our hands but hopefully that’s a matter of time.

UTV!!

job done that was the most important thing. Sat too deep and looked leggy after they scored, but time to regroup and go all out for the win at Hillsbrough next week to finally give fistface his first defeat (unbelievable).

McGinn, Mings class as ever, Whelan very good again, not Jacks best infront of Southgate, seemed to be playing quite deep. Just glad to get the win and look forward now.

Preston losing was the only good result today, Sheff Utd had gone 7 straight games without conceding (since we got 3 in 10 mins); then let Weimann get a bloody hatty against them.

Second half we were not great but showed resilience. Mings was superb and motm. That bit of skill second half Hilarious. Mings has been worth every penny of that wasteman bolaises wage# we saved

Fantastic opening 25 minutes.

Gritty and professional last 25.

Cant play pretty football for 90 minutes, nobody can, so in a wierd way I take more encouragement from the defensive side than the attacking.

Form in front of goal was a worry - we seem to want to walk it into the net.

And we would have on several occasions has the finishing been better. Trust you to find something to worry about ;)

edit: at times we could have got the ball in quicker but i prefer this approach to the old aimless cross at any opportunity that we’ve seen for years.
