I have no reason to be - and my biggest concerns in that team are Wesley and Guilbert which undoes my entire next point - but I'd be a tad disappointed if bringing in Dean from Brentford (and the wonders they are known for in the market) and Suso as SD resulted into spending £130m this window on players from the Championship rather than finding some Gems for 5-12m abroad.

Dont get me wrong. I'd be happy with the team itself. It'd be a big step up on what we had last time we were in this league. Id be optimistic about our chances for the season - which is the important part I suppose!

I think Guilbert was about £5m.

And Jota was about £2m (less the cost of a bell end) - signed from the depths of Mordor.

We've signed the big fella from Belgium who few of us had heard of - albeit for a bit more than what you've suggested, but that could be down in part to the price of the PL, rather than the Championship.

And we're clearly scouting in Zombieland for a keeper. Stoke is just **** weird.

This is f***ing mental!!

Yeah, Danny Ings for £18m is nuts (reported as £20m in some places), but think they had to sign him as a condition of their original loan, because he crossed an appearance threshold.

Ings is only 26 and his goal to minutes on the pitch ratio is pretty good, seven goals and three assists last season for them in just over eighteen games worth of football, also £20m really isn't a lot of money for a striker these days, it's the amount you can expect to pay for one that's slightly above average, unless you can find an hidden talent from somewhere. We're paying £20m plus for Moraes, and that's not for a proven talent, rather a player we hope we can develop.

A classic, but exactly how I would be if we signed Butland, Mings, Webster, Phillips, Benrahma, Wesley and Leao.

Image result for stan marsh ghost

That’s the best part of £130million of talent . Get it done Suso & Co. Butland , Phillips & Leao are the ones I really want us to sign .

I don't know many in Sweden or Norway (Ajer is the only one that comes to mind), but there's a few Danish options right now.

Jacob Rasmussen, Fiorentina - Fiorentina bought him in January and he was loaned out to Empoli. Kind of the modern centre back, i. e. that he's a big and calm guy who's good on the ball. Give him a few years and I could see him be a solid player in one of the big leagues.

Victor Nelsson, FC Nordsjælland - He's 20 and captain for his club. He's a leader, who, like Rasmussen, is good on the ball (every Nordsjælland player is). He's young, so a lot can happen, but right now I wouldn't be comfortable starting him in the Premiership.

Joachim Andersen, Sampdoria - Probably the biggest talent in Denmark right now. 23 years old and Transfermarkt values him at 25M euro. He's been linked with moves to all the major clubs  over the past year (Arsenal and Inter has been the two most consistent). He's a star. I normally don't rate Danes that much, but Anderson is incredible.

Rasmus Nissen Kristensen, Ajax - He's been a right back his entire career, but his size makes him an interesting prospect to move to centre back or maybe even a defensive midfielder (6'2). He comes from one of the top academies in Denmark (Midtjylland) and moved to Ajax in January of 2018 as a player with a lot of power. Ajax refined his technical ability. I think it would be good for him to try something new. He captained Denmark for a game or two at this past U21 Euro championships and forced Joakim Mæhle to play left back (I've seen Mæhle linked with a move to Crystal Palace to replace Wan-Bissaka, and he was linked with a move to Southampton back in January for 12M pounds).

There's Andreas Christensen at Chelsea as well, hardly featured in the league under Sarri but played a lot in Europe this season.

Seen to have fallen down the rankings there as he was a regular the season before.

Still only 23

Some good free agents been released, Danny welbeck could be worth look, still only 28, he has had injuries I know but I think it was a broken ankle last season, has done it in the league before, back up for wes,

hell no, terrible player, wouldnt suit our desired style of play at all.

i would give villa my pocket money to not sign him.....

Just been on to my mate who’s a season ticket holder down at Ashton Gate and asked him about Webster. I’ll summarise.

Great attitude. One of their most creative players (bizarre). Class above. Played in midfield on a few occasions and bossed it. Great passer.

All seems positive. 30m is a bit steep but they just sold someone for 14m and my mate reckons Webster is twice the player he’ll ever be.

Is there any big scandinavian centre backs knocking around? We always seem to do well with them

pity Sarri got the boot as Christensen is a fine prospect at Chelsea and probably would have been let go if Sarri stayed on
