HeyAnty
I’ll be interested to see how Emery manages him. Yes he’s probably our best defender but he can lack concentration at times imo. Hopefully Emery can sort this out.

Like the mistake against Chelsea. Don't get me wrong, he takes responsibility as he did then bu apologizing, but appearance wise in his play. The odd clanger from say midfield or attack is not destined to end up in the back of the net. I actually think that overall Mings has done well this season - but I do feel he will always have a mistake in him. This aside he has every attribute to be an international defender imo The main difference is that Tyrone Mings doesn't have Tyrone Mings to bail him out when he drops an odd clanger. Mings probably saves a certain goal a game through an amazing last ditch challenge or block but you hear people talking about him like all he does is thread the striker through on goal.

He does have Martinez behind him, one of the best keepers in the premiership.

To be fair to the lad he was happy to oblige and even waited for me to fumble around trying to turn the flash on. I didn't see JM with him which was just as well seeing as i said TM should be captain again ! He was very modest in his reply and gave a big smile for the camera, none of this scowling or moody glare. Top bloke. All the players are going to have their role spelled out in minute detail, I reckon that will help Mings a lot, he'll be way more confident in where he should be and knowing where everyone around him should be too. sne
Appear Mings had a hard time coping with getting stripped of the captaincy by Gerrard. But reacted the right way. Won't link the Mail article and don't have a Athletic subscription but it's out there for those who's interested.

JAMAICAN-VILLAN
Yeah Ty deserves massive credit. Fought and fought, let down by his team. One of our best players and deserves to be a part of a hopefully brighter era to come.
