Yeah criticising NSWE and Purslow from a commitment and business/value standpoint can't fly.

Aston Villa storm into Forbes new rich list as Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens outperform Barcelona

Aston Villa have been named in Forbes’ top 20 most-valuable football teams in the world for the very first time. According to the well-respected US business magazine, Villa are currently ranked 20th with a club value of $750m (£647m).

Villa’s Premier League rivals Leeds (£690m), West Ham (£776m), Leicester (£798m) and Everton (£811m) are all directly above Villa in Forbes’ new list for 2022. Tottenham (£2bn) are 10th with Arsenal 11th (£1.7bn), while Chelsea are eighth (£2.6bn). Manchester United (£3.9bn) are ranked third ahead of Liverpool (£3.8bn) in fourth and Man City (£3.6bn) in sixth

Forbes has also outlined how Villa are one of six debt-free clubs amongst their top-20 list with their revenue - the money generated from normal business operations - standing at £203m. Villa’s operating income - the sum total of a company's profit after subtracting its regular, recurring costs and expenses - is £10.3m which is far healthier than Inter Milan ($3m), AC Milan (-$16m), Barcelona (-$17m), Everton (-$20m) and Paris Saint-Germain (-$103m). Man City’s operating income is an impressive $156m compared to next-best Manchester United at $128m.

Surely this just adds to the deserved questioning and criticism Purslow deserves for our football on the pitch.

Agreed, off the pitch, business decisions seem great.

I think it’s time we got idea an what their true plans are now. Because there was no support during the transfer window to help with the first team. What do they actually want to, and expect to achieve.

European football, which they have stated many time either from Purslow or the Manager.

Provide the best set up for the players to train and develop as shown by the £20 million redevelopment at Bodymoor.

Invest in the youth set up, as shown by the new 4 million  urban inner city academy at Brookvale.

Make the club more self sustainable financially, as shown by a £100 million planning application to build a new north stand and the Villa Live complex.

What have the romans ever done for us.

That’s all well and good, but if we are playing in the championship next season because of the squad that we have, it will be kind of pointless. Wouldn’t it?

I think that was the plan or plans until everything was forgotten and replaced with Christian Purslow’s  project Gerrard.

Do wonder what the latest is on Villa Las Vegas - the rival bidder for a vegas franchise Bill Foley is buying Bournemouth and wonder if he’ll use that for another stab at beating NSWE to it… Citeh just quietly buy clubs/ stakes and we’ve talked about this for years now ( back to Dr Fraud) - appreciate its complex but still.

Wes Edens (as a massive sports fan) must be watching Villa each match with complete bemusement at how Villa can be so bad at football and why we don’t play better like teams who have spent so much less than us (on wages and transfer fees).

Maybe Purslow has convinced him football is like Golf and the team with the lowest score wins

Time for them to step up and prove they're good owners. It's not just about spending 100ms, it's about the right time to change manager. We've reached that point.

Find it comical some thing Purslow has the power to refuse to sack Gerrard if they both wake up tomorrow wanting him out. If he does that he won't be at the club by end of the week either so he'll have to toe the line and admit he got this one wrong.

We were ruthless with DS. Now it's time to admit we made an error as all it means we've wasted a year standing still. Majority of football clubs have those periods but let's at least try to move upwards.

No, but I can assure you that the level of investment they have made in the club will guarantee you they watch 95% of them.

I was just thinking that the moment we see both of them at a game, Gerrard's head will be on the chopping block.

They were at one of the home games this season if i remember correctly.  They can't have been happy with what they saw!
