Israel, Palestine and Iran

I don’t understand how an explosion THAT big, could have been caused by a partial piece of Hamas rocket. We’ve seen footage many times of the aftermath of Hamas rockets and you’re talking a bit of fire damage, busted cars etc. whatever hit the hospital was a building destroyer. I think this is going to turn out to be Israel.

Supposedly Hamas have a range of different rockets they use so it’s not easy to compare.

However, could it also be possible that the rocket triggered a larger explosion?

Hospitals will have tanks of oxygen for patients, stores of fuel for backup generators etc. It might be plausible that the rocket caused something else on site to explode?

300,000 Palestinian troops amassed on the border ready to fight

Palestinian Air Force carpet bombing Israel

Palestinians issuing a decree that over a million Israel's should relocate hundreds of miles South in 24 hours

Palestinians then bombing those routes they originally said were safe out of the North to the South

Palestinians have cut off water and electricity to the Israeli population

Palestinians have blockaded Israel so no medicine, food, water or medical supplies can get to civilians

Palestinians bombed a hospital killing over 700 people

Palestinians have kept Israel in a state of apartheid and permanent desperation in essentially an open air prison for 20 years

Palestinians blockade the country for 20 years so no-one can leave at all.

Palestinians are fully supported by the USA with millions of dollars of weapons, military aid and rhetorical support.

I hate Israelis's - they're the worst people

Am I doing this right O'Brien?

It’s really hard to figure out what happened there, but a lot of the accounts geo locating stuff concerning Ukraine-Russia seem to be indicating Hamas rocket storage mixed with oxygen/fuel at the hospital.

Syria have already been confirmed to have delivered their most powerful rockets.

Whatever the truth is, it gets murky.

The bombing of the evacuation route does look a lot like a car bomb. Hamas warning people not to leave does leave a certain impression.

"The Onion could theoretically say that it stands in solidarity with the bombing victims in Gaza. What would happen then? People would get mad at us. They could threaten our careers. How about if we said we believe the loss of innocent life is wrong no matter what the nationality? That would also result in people getting mad at us. Sometimes these would be different people getting mad, but that doesn’t really change things on our end. And most significantly, it could hurt our quarterly revenue, which is the worst tragedy imaginable.

For those reasons, and many more, we are not going to be endorsing any of those perspectives. Instead, the stance of standing unwaveringly with Israel, now and forever, seems to really be the sweet spot for those looking to avoid dealing with all of this shit.

“What of the tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians killed before this attack?” some may ask. Our response is simply that we aren’t going to engage with that because it would be too hard. We also won’t be addressing Palestinians living in refugee camps without access to clean water, electricity, or housing. Others may ask, “Isn’t it your responsibility to provide context, particularly on thorny issues such as this one?” To that, we merely say: No, shut up. You’re being annoying."

In a hospital!?

The main headquarters of Hamas in Gaza is dug in under the Al-Shifa Hospital in northern Gaza - the biggest medical centre in the city. This is public information. Hamas works from structures protected under IHL for a reason…

It’s unbelievable really that a doctor would choose to work in a hospital knowing there were hamas roaming around the place firing off rockets and storing explosives on the premises.

What choice do they have? Medics just want to do their jobs and save lives. They can’t move Hamas and they need the facilities to work.

We are not talking about a normal civilised European country here. What’s normal over here and over there are worlds apart.

I take it the car park was packed with people but no building destroyed so looks like the internet folks were right. The blast looked huge on the night time video.

The supposed numbers of casualties came out very quickly. Hopefully they were just a wild exaggeration?

What’s needed is a relentless hunt for the criminals on both sides, with actual punishment for the leaders proven to be complicit. From both sides.

The people that kill with bombs, the people that turn off water supply, the people that persuade people to kill children, the people that bulldoze the land and property of others and destroy olive groves or pour concrete down wells, kidnappers, financiers in Iran and the U.S.. The whole **** lot of them that contribute to this over the generations.

Both are bad. Can't support any of them.
