He wants to make the most of it when he is young, because if he ends up looking like his dad, he'll only be able to model balaclavas.

Foden still looks like he's 12

Honestly. How did it **** come to this?

"He's pure profit, he's pure profit, Jack Grealish , he's 100% pure profit."

Kill me. Get me off this ride. Honestly don't want to be involved in this anymore.

The days of getting exciting about a local lad breaking through along side your superstars is replaced by getting excited about the prospect of selling them at over inflated rates to buy more superstars

State of it

Its a bit like breeding racehorses.

They'll be putting Grealish and the like out to stud next.

What's happening to Reading is a stain on the game

The extent of Reading’s financial problems have been detailed to The Athletic and include:
  • The November payroll for players being met thanks to a loan from sponsors Select Car Leasing — the second time this season the local firm has stepped in to help avoid another points deduction
  • A catering firm leaving the training ground due to money owed, forcing players to eat microwave meals
  • Overnight hotel stays scrapped for Selles and his squad to cut costs
  • Office staff wearing coats at their desks due to cold working conditions at the stadium
  • Redundancy letters being sent out across the club — including to at least six staff at the academy — in the week before Christmas

Football clubs suffering more and more because of the top few distorting markets. It's basically the same for your average person with income distribution trends since the 70s. Welcome to the joys of late stage capitalism.

Yep it's never been a better time to be a Villa fan.

If Reading can't handle their finances then that's their problem. I didn't see them complaining much when th.ey were counting the PL cash.

Capitalism is not to blame for people's lack of financial responsibility.

Reading were bought by a rubbish owner, something that perhaps we ought to have a sliver of sympathy with, because we were issued with a winding up order from HMRC when we had one of those.

The EFL have much to answer for when it comes to failing to vet owners. They aren’t fit for purpose.

Didnt see it mentioned much as they are not a big club but Luton fans were given 4 days notice about moving the Burnley match to Friday night

If that’s because of Sky or tv related stuff, disgraceful.

Can you imagine a more out-of-touch awards ceremony, a set of prizes where the awarders seem to have more desperately "misread the room." What planet are FIFA on?

Six Manchester City players in team of the year
Men's coach of the year was the first award of the night, with Guardiola winning it ahead of Luciano Spalletti and Simone Inzaghi.

Spalletti guided Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years with a record-equalling five games to spare.

Inzaghi was nominated after winning the Coppa Italia with Inter Milan and taking them to the Champions League final, where they lost 1-0 to Manchester City.

There were six Manchester City players named in the men's team of the year - defenders John Stones, Kyle Walker and Ruben Dias, midfielders Bernardo Silva and Kevin de Bruyne and striker Haaland.
