 the BBC's politically correct apparatchiks

.

If, as is being reported, this clown has punched a producer (or attempted to), then his 'bosses' have every right to sack the ****. I hope they do. It's a sackable offence.

Two irrefutable facts, if ever I saw them.  :)

300,000 morons have signed a petition to get him reinstated. I love Top Gear and don't want this show to end however signing a petition while not knowing all/any of the facts is incredibly stupid. How can you ask for him to be reinstated when you do not know what he has done?

The latest rumour is that he punched the guy over a lack of catering. Again I say rumour as neither Clarkson or the BBC have actually come out and said what has happened.

I was just thinking that exact same thing

Jeremy Clarkson Admits Entire Career Was ‘Social Experiment’

“I don’t even like cars,” said the Top Gear presenter, who has admitted his entire career was just one long social experiment to see just how popular a bigot could be.

clarkson_social_exp.jpg

“All my ‘comments’ about race, bumming, suicide and the Welsh language were just part of a very long social experiment to highlight issues with racism and society’s ignorance of the LGBT community, mental illness and diversity in the UK,” said Clarkson, who claims to have got the idea after seeing a woman get wolf-whistled by a white van driver in 1988.

“That shocking incident just highlighted the kind of gross misogyny and disrespect women face on a daily basis,” said the broadcaster.

“I knew then I had to do something to highlight these issues – by conducting a social experiment utilising numerous TV appearances and newspaper columns to parade this ‘Clarkson’ character in front of the public to see how they would react.”

“It may have taken over 26 years to carry out, but I think we can see from the public’s response exactly who the real monster here is.”

Not necessarily.  If he was defending himself he'd be able to argue it was reasonable behaviour.  Also, if the person he was punching was a socialist then that would also make it an acceptable action.

God bless the public. Won't sign petitions that could change lives, improve things or save us money but will sign in the hundreds of thousands to keep this buffoons job?!

It is interesting that Lefties seem to hate him   - clearly he must be doing something right :D

May's interview with the press suggests something did happen and it was over food .. but that's about as far as he would comment

I guess it will all come out shortly , the BBC have probably been looking for an excuse and no it would seem they have it

There are images being shared on FB and alike from the 'reinstate Clarkson' page with captions like "Human Rights for Jeremy Clarkson" and "Say no to Political Correctness and reinstate Jermey Clarkson"...

I can't work out if they're taking the pi$$ or not.

Maybe Clarkson always had plans of ensuring that when the BBC's politically correct apparatchiks finally hunted him down ...

Ah, the poor old English millionaire chappy from Repton School, harried by bloodless limpwristed smartypants. The outrage!

I've said something similair before in other threads , and totally agree with you ... anyone that jumps on a bandwagon should automatically be ignored  ( and if they also have a hipster beard then shot )

easy mistake to make but he wasn't some kid born into  money  ..his parents were a teacher and a salesman  .. who found a way to get their child through private school as many middle class people do (myself included)

None, from what I can see. STN mentioned that Clarko was an 'English millionaire'. Which he is. He never said he had been born into it. Slightly strange tangent for Mr Loc to take ...

Yes, I read Wikipedia too. My dad was a machinist -- and I can still be, as you can see, an inexcusably pompous arse.

unless you get many English millionnaire working class children from Doncaster his schooling becomes relevent in the context of the sentence , else why mention  it and all it implies  in the rest of the sentence

of course this is where the OP comes back and says he meant no such thing  and I have to post a D'oh gif

Tony's right, the explicit inference is that he's "from Repton" and therefore cut from the same cloth as the Bullingdon lot, instead of being from a home that just tried hard to make a better life for themselves.  A friend of mine is good friends with him and his (ex?) wife as she is from the IOM and they owned the lighthouse down by the airport.  Apparently a lot of what he says is a bit of an act, albeit based on what he does think to a certain extent.  He plays up to the caricature of himself, simply because it makes him so much money.

It's more to do with the class system in England.  I think the implication is that Clarkson is an upper class twit born with a silver spoon in his mouth because he attended a good school.  It's not true, he got where he is today through a combination of good luck and hard work.
