Mile Jedinak

He's a doubt for the second Australia international in the UAE this evening. Picked up a knock in the last match. They are leaving it to the last minute to see if he can play so can't be too bad. Hasn't trained since arriving in the UAE though.

Just confirmed he'll miss Australia's game with UAE today with a knock.  Thought not to be serious.

Good news then. If he was close to being fit and it's just precaution, in theory he'll be well rested for the weekend.

Us playing on Sunday giving him, Jack, Rudy and Tish an extra day is a blessing isn't it?

Yeah it depends how close he was.  Although obviously a confirmed injury means some kind of recovery time above tiredness and jetlag.

Could always strategically rest him on Sunday given our schedule of 3 games in 7 days

If Tshibola is fit then I'm OK with him being on the bench, deffo.

Obviously if he's not fit then he's not fit, now isn't the time to push him.

I'd imagine so, yes.

Better not get himself injured on international duty as our midfield is wafer thin.

OK, sorry guys, I'll take the blame for this one

Aston Villa's Mile Jedinak has suffered an injury on international duty with Australia which has forced him to pull out of their World Cup qualifier with United Arab Emirates today.

The bearded midfielder played the whole of their 2-0 victory over Iraq on home soil last week, but has been left out of the squad to play UAE with a knock.

Australia hoped he would be available after picking up the injury in the match with Iraq, but he failed a late fitness test.
