westholmevillan
Thanks for the detailed info guys. Sounds like Bournemouth might regret selling him, especially so cheaply. We have a 'real leader' at long last!

Dodgyknees
A captain I can believe in. Not a snake and not a false god. A proper captain!

A real captain. Its nice to see us buying leaders. If Jedinak joins, along with Elphick and McCormack, we will have leaders down the spine of the team
terrytini
Many good performances all over the pitch but Tommy was outstanding in so many ways. Inspirational already. And who knew a pair of Centre Backs could work in harness together ?
thunderball
A legend already. An almost anonymous signing in the clamour for glamour signings, but this guy will add +2 to everyone's ratings due to his energy and enthusiasm. Blood and guts!

What about his positional sense, timing of tackles etc? It was fine, but I would stress that Rotherham were so atrocious that there was quite little for him or Chester to do.

It's not a superstition thing at all. He's too bright for that. It's a psychological thing for him and him alone, it puts him in game mode. It's not like Ellis and his Santa hat! He's such a **** warrior. He'll go down a legend at this rate. I'd already love to meet him and pick his brains, I feel like he'd change my life.

Yes, perhaps my comments/ observations were premature. Elphick and Chester look like they could be a bedrock for other player improvements to be inspired from. I know its only Rotherham, but we can only play who is in front of us.....and we did it well

He's one player and today was one game, I don't expect a team of Elphick's but he's a bloody good start.

TRO
I have mentioned in my earlier posts of little partnerships on the park. Seen evidence of it yesterday, just a start, but encouraging.
Popular Post Butterfingers
I was front row in the DE yesterday. I,ve never heard a player so vocal. He had shouted himself hoarse before half time. One particular barrage towards the linesman bought an ovation from those in the stand around me. He even walks with purpose. Very early days but based on character and leadership skills alone, the signs are there that we have the real McCoy. His performance yesterday was immense, he won everything. We will be facing tougher challenges in the months ahead but the signs are promising. I don't know why he can't play in the Prem. I'd put him ahead of anything we've had in the past 5 years, including concrete Ron.
