This time last year Peterborough taught us a lesson aswell wouldn’t panic yet but January will be vital in getting players in and today might be a blessing in disguise for that as it magnifies we badly need reinforcements in certain areas.A worry I would have thought is smiths side was notoriously streaky either bang at it or awful they also had long unbeaten runs and also struggled for long spells aswell Villa can’t afford a dip in form at this stage hopefully we can turn it around next week .

Next month will be crucial as well as needing players in ,were playing Wigan Hull Ipswich and Reading really need to be getting 10/12 pts out of that we will know after the transfer window and those games if we will be contenting or not massive month coming up .

Very disappointing display our poorest under Smith ,hard to see us mounting any promotion push defensively we are atrocious look like we will concede 2/3 every game players making too many individuals errors ,Hutton is after turning into a massive liability and if it isn’t him it’s Elmo struggling we badly need new full backs the frustrating thing is if we got ourselves in order we would have a serious chance of going up no real outstanding sides in champ this year we have a massive amount of improving to do .

Could be a massive win come the end of the season nice to see Nyland win the game for us like that he’s after a tough season ,our full backs still a massive weak point but great to win despite not playing well and a good response to the defeat in Leeds game

Today is a blessing in disguise ,we need defensive reinforcements badly and today only magnified that ,we have all been saying all year that we haven’t enough cover at the back ,our full backs don’t suit Smith’s system they don’t offer enough going forward and have been badly exposed at the other end our wingers don’t suit the system either as there work rate isn’t high enough and that’s most important in a high press.Adomah has been a huge loss bigger than Grealish imo his work rate and energy has been missed in the flank and he always gets back to double with the full back which is vital ,Smith has proven himself to be shrewd in the transfer market and hopefully we will be a lot better position come the end of Jan ,there is a long year there yet but today was a eye opener for us all no doubt .

I can see us being this years Fulham going on a long unbeaten run to go up ,we have s similar style now and when we click we will be hard to stop ,defence is a worry but expect us to rectify that in Jan it’s a exciting time to be a villa fan it will come good

If anything can sum up Villa under Bruce it’s Glenn Whelan taking a last minute penalty to win possible the worst player on the ball in a Villa shirt and definitely the worst shooter I have seen in a Villa shirt madness .

Bruce seems to be a manager that has all the answers after the game and nothing during the game he only influences a game negatively,a blind man could see that Jedinak would struggle with Wednesday’s mobility Jedi is a horses for courses player he is suited to playing big awkward players like what happened against Rotherham ,Tuanzebe should have played I counted only 5 players playing in there proper positions yesterday mind boggling stuff ,this is the first test for the owners and getting rid of Bruce as soon as is the answer and the only answer.

Another awful display ,all the hope has been drained out of me by Bruce still being at the club it was time yesterday to move him on every game more that he is here is only delaying the inevitable #bruceout

If we play like that the rest of the season we have a great chance of getting up a lot of positives there and still unbeaten the players attitude was fantastic gave it everything.

Bruce should have been sacked after playoff final end of.He has managed us for nearly 100 games ,he has done decent things with us but the remit is to get us promoted but he won’t do that he is too tactically inept and he can’t change anything up during a game and god forbid if the opposition manager changes formation we are clueless with what to do there’s no plan B and that will be our downfall it isn’t that the players aren’t good enough it’s that Bruce isn’t .

I don’t think Bruce is a bad manager at all ,but I think he is a average one and not what Villa need at the moment when we didn’t go up last year was time to get a younger more modern manager as in the long run Bruce will cost us promotion again,he has his strengths he has a good way about him players seem to like him and want to play for him he has done a lot of good things for the club we have stabilized we have a lot to be thankful to Bruce for but he gets caught out too often he doesn’t seem to be able to judge a game and opposition at all tactically he is poor and this is what will catch us ,perfect example is with Jedinak yesterday I think he can play centre half but only against certain teams not against teams with pace and who will look to get in behind he is suited to playing against more robust teams Bruce doesn’t seem to see this at all that it’s horses for courses at times he just gets so many of these decisions wrong ,same with team selection to make 6 changes today and play so many players out of position and with a new keeper just makes it worse the mind boggles he will cost us promotion again .

Bruce really would melt your head ,from a manager that wouldn’t change the side with 2 games in 48 hrs he makes 6 changes from a winning side mind boggling ,plays a RB at LB a centre half at right back a holding midfielder at centre half ,but look we got the result but we are still short and defend like we did today and we won’t go up but it is a very good start to season and the potential is there to have a very good season.

Massive win the spirit we showed was immense fought for each other that’s what it’s all about ,that’s what we have been missing for last 5 years lads playing for the badge ,Bruce has turned us around we are starting to look like the villa I fell in love with and started supporting fantastic result .

Think us fans have to start giving Bruce credit we are in the automatic promotion mix now and we're playing well and getting results ,long way to go but we are getting there ,Hogan starting to fire is vital difference between promotion or not .

We are starting to get there if hogan starts scoring regularly we will go up

Im not sure I could agree with you Terry broken bone ,grealish kidney ,Kodjia recurrence of broken ankle these are all bad luck more than anything .

With the way things are going unless we turn our form around quickly top 6 is best we can hope for .Im not Bruce's biggest fan and I think there is a lot better managers out there but we are decimated by injuries Kodjia gone long term Terry out with a long time and Jedinak only back after 6 months out ,on top of that Grealish was out long term Lansbury and Hogan have struggled with injuries since they have arrived I realise every team gets injuries but we have been really unlucky that it's been to our better players and majority of them have been months rather than weeks out ,If Derby or Wolves had the same injuries they wouldn't be where they are ,we still aren't in a bad position but we need reinforcements in Jan a striker is a must we just need to get through this xmas period without losing touch .

Hogan is really struggling ,there is a god player in there somewhere but his confidence is shot ,he needs a run Of games to find some form but we can't afford to be carrying anyone .

We were poor today have been for a while we are struggling for goals need a striker in Jan ,we have been poor against all the top sides but we still have them all to play at home and are in the playoffs still despite being on a bad run still all to play for but still badly need a striker in Jan .

Still think we have a very good chance of automatic promotion,we should be struggling to be in playoffs with the injuries we have had Kodjia and Jedinak haven't really played 2 of our best players have had 1 fit striker with the last month if we can bring in a couple in Jan we will give the top 2 a serious rattle think Cardiff will start dropping points too ,we just need to get through xmas still being in contention

Just one of those days where everything went wrong ,Bruce got it tactically wrong we struggle when we play 442 against the better sides ,we are still in a good position and there's a long way to go yet no need to panic yet have a decent run of games aswell coming up .
