VillaBrum
Brave and strong. Looks like he wants to fight for the shirt. Good captain. I liked it when he yelled at the fans to make more noise Nothing more that I can add.
El-Reacho
Elphick in the centre of the huddle before kick-off looked very impressive. I know Richards and Lescott did that for most of last season but there seemed to be real substance when Tommy was belting out rallying cry.
villan-scott Posted August 7, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted August 7, 2016 He looked taller than 4'11" to me. Was very impressed with him and Gollini today for their chatter and organising. Looked much more solid than last season.
sonic_bouma
He was fantastic. Brave, committed and vocal. Finally a captain we can connect with!
sidcow Posted August 7, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted August 7, 2016 Stand out player for me today. Could well be our most important signing. Loved his geeing up the crowd. Bandage, blood, is he our new psycho?
sidcow Posted August 7, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted August 7, 2016 Also was it just me or did he look bewildered when the ball was rolled out to him and he had no midfielders showing for it. I reckon he is used to playing in a team where there is much more hard work going on and desire to make space to receive the ball. . Hopefully he can put some rockets up our lazy midfield cruisers.

Stockport_Villain
Nice to have some confidence in a defender at last. Like the cut of his jib.

RaptureJames
My new favourite player - need i say more! ...i will. Over time his positive influence over some of his teammates will only grow. How different last year could have been with Tommy in that dressing room ... anyway onwards and upwards!
