That whole thread was so funny.  People quoting case after case which showed Peston not knowing what he was talking about.  Basic facts.

The funniest was someone pointing out that Lord Mandelson was Minister for Business when Peston was BBC Business Correspondent, but there are several others.

Peston is paid around £250k a year for this level of incompetence.

Easy to make mistakes, especially when you're working insane shifts around election time. The quality of political journalism dips noticeably in the final weeks of an election campaign.

But am slightly amazed he even thought this might be true, given that he must have dealt directly with several cabinet ministers who sat in the House of Lords. A bizarre claim to make.

He may well have worked insane shifts, but I believe Google is now open 24 hrs.

New anti-strike legislation trailed, apparently - this time requiring 'minimum service levels' (yet to be defined) to be maintained during disputes.

Will Mcluskey take the bait ?

I really hope Boris tells Sturgeon to do one with her independence referendum request. After the last 3 years of churn and uncertainty the last thing we need is Scotland throwing a fresh spanner into the works, border controls, currency, freedom of movement, businesses etc.

Absolutely not the right time for the UK.
