Summer Speculation 2015

Not being funny but if Tim has to fly easyjet to Malaga, why would we fly Berbatov in on a private jet when we have an extra few days to sign him anyway? I dont reckon he was on that flight and if he did fly into the midlands he might be heading off to Stoke or somewhere seeing as they are losing Walters

easyjet was full and Berbatov wanted to get to Villa before Stoke came in for him as he wants to play alongside his best Buddy Adame Traore who advised him that the food in the Stoke City cafetaria is absolute shit!

"Villa offered 5m and have upped to 7.5m so negotiations ongoing. Shows we are prepared to let him go in this window so hopefully it means someones coming in as suggested by Steve Parish." http://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=106&tid=155286&page=2 Open a Dwight Gayle thread!

lol read that thread,  so now we are a development club for Palace?

Latest from credible tweeters is that Berbatov is at BMH and Adebayor has now made contact. Ha ha - let's have them both.

"Credible tweeters" hahahaha

They are like needles in a haystack, but they are there.

Who then and where?

I'm talking about journos like Nixon but in this example it's this guy - https://twitter.com/Smudge1962?lang=en-gb

I wouldn't say he's "Credible"

I knew this would spark an oft repeated debate over the point of twitter - credible for twitter, not credible in terms of being an eye witness to a murder.

So to summarise with under 5 hours left...

Lescott is done

Strikers we have a choice or Gayle, Adebayor or Berbatov

Baker is out (not sure where)

De Gea is still not going to Madrid despite Sky updating us every two minutes about it

Senderos may or may not go (it's 50/50)

Nzogbia is sitting back crisps in hand watching transfer central in a floral two piece

cheers for that, otherwise theres about 50 pages id have to catch up on after a busy weekend :)

A new link from the BBC:

Aston Villa have made an inquiry about signing Liverpool's Portuguese defender Tiago Ilori. Ilori, who joined Liverpool from Sporting Lisbon in a £7m deal in September 2013, has been out on loan at Grenada CF in La Liga and and Bordeaux in France after failing to secure first-team football at Anfield. It remains to be seen whether Villa pursue a loan or permanent deal for the 22-year-old who has also been attracting interest from Sunderland - or if he wishes to stay at Liverpool and fight his way into manager Brendan Rodgers' plans.
