Italy were uninspiring in an easy enough group in qualifiers and looked woeful in World Cup minus that England game, they are beatable like COsta Rica did in BRazil

Sweden game is key and must win for both teams, draw could kill both teams chances

Never mind Sweden in qualifying. Zlatan flexed his muscles in the playoffs. This is his stage and we start slow.

They were battered by Denmark though and a better striker than Bendtner and they would be in Euro 2016, also slaughtered 4-1 at home to Austria. We have average Premier League players but they play even worse rubbish like Granqvist, Isaaksson, Jonas Olsson and Seb Larsson

If England win the group they play a 3rd placed team

Indeed. But the difference between a runner up and a 3rd place team in 2 poor groups isn't likely to be much different. Then the QF, I think Portugal/Belgium are tougher than France. Genuinely think finishing 2nd could be a blessing.

Just look at the Italy squad aswell...Yes they still have Buffon, De Rossi, Chellini, Pirlo (I think?) but they're all in their 30s now.Do they have anyone decent under 25? If anyone has a problem with youth development it's them.

through UEFA, should be on their website

Yeah checked that last time. When you select England it takes you through to the FA's site, and you can't even begin to buy a ticket for the Euro's until you spend £70 for the privilege of becoming a "travel member". What a farce.

ukraine vs NI

CR v croatia

happy with that, obviously got the england game but there are 4 of us going and we've only got 2 tickets for each game, hoping those games arent that much of a blockbuster that we'll struggle

I did the Portal thing and got informed in July that it had been unsuccesful.  Did they do another draw of tickets....or did you just forget to check until now?!:D

Will they change kick off times for some of these? I remember World Cup England-Italy was going to kick off at 2am but they brought it back to 11pm.

England-Wales at 2pm on a Thursday...there's going to be about 5 people working on that day lol. Wouldn't shock me if it swops with one of the low key evening games.

Verratti, Romagnoli, Florenzi, Gabbiadini, Berardi, Insigne are all very, very good. Then you have some promising players who have stalled a little, but who are still young enough to turn it around in Perin, El Shaarawy, De Sciglio.

Yes Verrati is very good, silly to forget him.

Anyone who plays for Meelan automatically gets discounted as they are a woeful team atm. Yeah Insigne's alright but hasn't kicked on last 18 months imo. I do like Candreva though.

Worth remembering how much Seria A has declined last 10 years, even now the premier league is still of a better standard despite it's own decline so the English young players are playing a higher standard of opponent than what the likes of Napoli are playing. Also worth remembering not many of them are playing champions league football either.

I was more commenting on their last squad....strikers like Okaka playing for Anderlecht, Gaccherini got called up aswell despite doing little at Sunderland, Giovincio getting called up despite being in the MLS now, it's hardly selecting players from the highest levels.

Ireland is the group of death but don't think Czech one is far behind as Croatia are a good pot 2 team based on their line up (if not their performances) and Turkey are a random team as Czechlad knows....Don't think Spain will win all three games in that group.

Czech group is more competitive. Whereas Ireland's is death for Ireland.

A win against Sweden in the opening game and who knows. We would just need to hope that in another 2/5 groups, the top two teams win both their games against the bottom two teams, and then the bottom two draw against each other or the winner of their game has a worse goal difference than Ireland. It's not a certain death by any means, especially if we can keep the losses to one goal. And a draw against Italy or Belgium would be no harm either. Only eight teams go out in the group stages. We have to make sure Sweden are one of them, and then try to make sure we aren't another.

If R.O.I can get 4 points off Germany in qualifying they're well capable of getting a draw off Italy imo. I do accept it's different in the real thing to qualifying where there is margin for error.

Think Belgium will have too much for them with Hazard and Lukaku running at that defence but it's possible for 4 points from the other two.

Norn Iron are the only team with no chance of going through from these shores but then just being there will be a massive party for them.

They are 3 teams with names, Sweden with Zlatan were awful in qualifying even against Denmark were poor, Belgium cant gel and Italy are just a name like Manchester United

Its a tough draw but Ireland got 4 points off Germany in qualifying who would beat all 3 of them teams

If Belgium do start gelling and either Lukaku or Benteke hit form at the right time then they are serious challengers to win it.

Has to be France for me. Home advantage worked for them last time and they have an easy group so can build momentum. Germany will be strong contenders of course and interesting to see how Spain react given the last world cup and they've lost some key players.

Love watching the euros, said before I prefer it to the world cup but the 24 teams does dilute the quality a bit.
