TheAuthority Posted November 28, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted November 28, 2015 With that goal he's just sealed a very lucrative move to a bigger club - it's hard not to be a cynic about modern football.

VillaChris
Just out of interest, how many points did Leicester have after 14 games last year? I know it's more than us but how many more?

VillaChris
Haha think you meant Leeds United chap. Nah just interested as it seemed Leicester barely picked up a point for about 3 months last season aswell.

slovenian
Points of relegated teams from 14/15 season after round 14 (Leicester had 10): Hull 12 Burnley 12 QPR
samjp26
They had 10 points, had only won 2 though
VillaChris
Still comfortably better than us despite being dismal themselves for months. There really is no hope.
Vive_La_Villa
Leicester remind me of us in MON last season. Gave any team a game and were top around this time. Key difference is they haven't spent silly amounts of money like we had but I can still see them finishing around 6th the same way we did.

mikeyp102
Apparently no team has had this many points at this stage of the season and finished outside top 4.

VillaChris
Southampton had I think 2-3 points fewer at this stage last season and they finished 7th. Still think that's the most likely spot for them as they'll struggle to finish above Liverpool and Spurs for a start.
HanoiVillan
They still haven't won against a team who finished in the top 9 last season. That's what will place a ceiling on their efforts. The next few fixtures look tough, I don't think they'll win many.
PaulC
Yes December is a tough month for them. If they can come through that relatively unscathed who knows. The danger is also that Vardy will go in January. If Leicester get 30 mill offer, at 28 neither the club nor the player will want to miss the opportunity to cash in. YLN
Remember when we were all laughing at their deluded fans during the tug of war over Veretout. Boy do I feel silly

I just don't think there's any chance of anyone offering an amount of money that they would sell him for. Nobody outside England would want him, only the Sky 6 could afford him now, and who would want him? I can sort of imagine United, at the very fringes of my imagination, but it's vanishingly unlikely. Mahrez, on the other hand, I could see teams being genuinely interested in him.
Zatman
Spurs are screaming for a striker maybe Liverpool he could fit their style of play, think Vardy and Leicester will snap any bid they get as he will never be this hot again and he will never get offered a bigger club again Mahrez is definite destined for a top team
