villalad21
More players in and around the box to help score, Full backs provide the width. Why not just drop Westwood and play 4-2-3-1?
useless
From what I've seen of Cleverly I think he's more similar to Delph than Westood. We need at least one player like Westwood to keep things ticking over.
jacketspuds
Maybe Delph as more of an attacking LM. So Westood and Sanchez holding with Delph, Cleverley and CNZ (Ideally another winger on loan) in front.
bobzy
Why not play Richardson wide if we have an LM?
mikeyp102
Having watched Cleverly with England u21 and senior team as well as the odd time for utd, I haven't seen anything to suggest he would do well for us.
useless
We'll have a squad I don't we should be playing Cleverly behind the strikers, that area should be reserved for players like Grealish, N'Zogbia and the rest. He can play in the central three and still pose an attacking threat, we don't need square pegs.
packoman
I'd be pretty happy if we got Cleverly, not an amazing player but definitely improves our team.

I'm just saying that players should be played in their correct position. I don't think there would any need to shoehorn Cleverly into one of the attacking three positions just to fit him in. It's okay to have a squad.

Condimentalist
I think Cleverly is much better than any of our current midfielders. Unlikely to be true, though, as the potential fee and wages would perhaps be out of Villa's reach. No way is he better than Delph.
dakid007
May not be good enough for we can spunk 200m on players in a panic utd but he will improve the overall quality of our squad. Kea out cleverly in

useless
At Watford he scored 11 goals and got 5 assists in 31 appearances, that's the Cleverly we need to awaken if at all possible. I still doubt this will actually happen though, not sure that we'll be able to afford his wages.
Popular Post Dodgyknees
Man United friend of mine- "Has been played far too deep, needs to be pushed forward. Won't give the ball away easily and always looks for an advanced pass." My friend writes for a football magazine and has been a United fan for 20+ years. Thinks Cleverley could impress if given a more attacking role.

Ulver
Is he likely to score twenty goals or create any ? If not not **** interested The weight of expectation on poor Benteke's shoulders to come back from a horror injury and be our only goal threat is **** ridiculous. He might take months to get up to speed, and he may NEVER get back to where he was. Same goes for Kozak at a much lesser expectancy level of course GET US A PROPER **** STRIKER IN FFS! KSV
wow are you guy for real? I think it would be a superb signing for the state we are in.. what you expect Vidal? He is miles better than Westwood. Westwood provides nothing and will be Cleverlys back up. Got a feeling it would be a loan deal anyway.
