  1. I think you're right. What Rudy should have done is throw the ball to where Hart should have been. One-nil Villa
  2. To be fair, you wouldn't have to try to hard to find posts in on-topic saying exactly the same thing. That said, I do agree that Jenas is quite good to listen to.
  3. Joe Allen on Exeter St. One minute from CovGdn and it's a bit of a luvvie spot. Don't think I've ever been in there without seeing someone off of the telly. Not too expensive neither.
  4. Are we actually playing football here? It's been so long since I saw us play with an actual plan. Still very short in the final third but if this is the difference Remi has made in a few days with the squad, I think there's reason for optimism.
  5. Mark Lillis caretaker manager at Huddersfield, looking after our very own Kryten (pob).
  6. Ridiculously warm last night. Went for a drink down Eel Pie and we ended up sitting outside. Proper tshirt weather.
  7. id kind of go with that. You can't even see her face! or were you talking about him?
  8. My mate getting married a couple of years ago. We all knew it wouldn't work, Result? Didn't work and now he's skint I think a lot of us will have similar stories to tell. Mate of mine was working in India and married (to a local) within 10 months of arriving there. First time I met her was the day before the wedding and I saw it straight away. She's taken him for a ride, spent all his money and now there's nothing left, she's telling him he has to leave and she's having the house. She's also saying he has to pay for the kids to go to boarding school as she doesn't want to look after them. She's told him she never loved him and only married him because her dad told her to. She goes out whenever she wants but won't allow him out ever. She even tried to give me the come-on too - she's that desperate to spite him. Poor bloke knows he made a big mistake now and wishes someone had warned him off but as he was overseas, nobody could see it coming.
  9. Not seen it yet, but I've just read a comment from my mate on Facebook, and he described it as being, "a bit noncey". Two female FB friends of mine on today talking about how fantastic it is, and how they are in floods of tears over it. FFS. It's the same every year. To the point where I've heard people say, "it's not Christmas, till I've seen the John Lewis / Coca-Cola adverts". Christmas is all about rampant capitalism now. Just what the Little Baby Jebus would have wanted. It's not Christmas until he says it's Christmas:
  10. Not seen it yet, but I've just read a comment from my mate on Facebook, and he described it as being, "a bit noncey". Two female FB friends of mine on today talking about how fantastic it is, and how they are in floods of tears over it. FFS. I don't spend much time on Facebook but having just had a look, I see it has been posted or referenced 17 times already this morning by people I know. And then I remember why I don't spend much time on Facebook.
  11. If we're doing admissions, I'd have to agree that I do on occasion do poops. On the other hand, my penis has not functioned for a long time.
  12. I saw QPR last week at Brentford. They have some very good players but a lack of obvious system. I think Tim would be fairly sure to have little impact on that. They were clearly fighting for their manager and they clearly loved him so I doubt they'd benefit from Sherwood's personal approach (blah, blah, facials etc). They need someone who can impose an effective solution rather than a motivator.
  13. Think I read yesterday that Valbuena had changed his profile pic (Facebook or twitter, I can't remember) to a photo of Benzema to show support for his pal. The implication in the story I read was that Valbuena and Benzema were still good friends and that Benzema was only involved in the investigations as he had discussed the issue with Valbuena.
  14. I do love "mistakes" like that though and often deliberately make them myself because it amuses me. I've no idea id dAVe did it intentionally or not but I regularly enjoy such delights as: "I think the dury is still out on that one" or "Xann's latest gif makes my brian hurt" I know all I'm doing is making myself look stupid and giving someone the opportunity to make themselves look clever by pointing out my mistake but the fact that I know it was intentional gives me the ability to feel superior.
  15. Finally got around to seeing this last night. Was supposed to see it months ago at a preview but work got in the way. Really enjoyed the visuals, even if the story was a bit all over the place. Also got round to this recently too. One of the most heartbreaking documentaries I've seen in a long while. I know a lot of people will have no sympathy for her but when you see how messed up she was and how little support she got, it's little wonder she went under.
  16. To be fair, they're not just laughing at Gabby. They're laughing at pretty much everything we've done in the first half.
  17. The hair on her head? A better sign is if they play with their hair down below. That was kind of the joke. Guess I"m just too subtle for you all.

    New manager

Auf Wiedersehen im Aston villa, Remi Garde.

I'd say chances are somewhere between 0% and 100% at the moment but those numbers could change. 50/50 then?
  20. An elderly Donegal man is stopped by the Gardai around 2am and is asked where he is going at this time of night. The man replies, "I'm on my way to a lecture about alcohol abuse and the effects it has on the human body, as well as smoking and staying out late." The Garda officer then asks, "Really? Who is giving that lecture at this time of night?" The old man replies, "That would be my wife."
