  1. Are all stadium tours rubbish? I did Stamford Bridge on some corporate thing today. Took about 25 minutes, you three minutes in the room where they do press conferences, a few minutes in the changing rooms, a walk up the tunnel, a couple of minutes sitting in the dugouts and then a sit in the shed. If I'd paid 20-something quid for that, I'd have asked for my money back. We did have Chopper Harris come and give us a chat over lunch though and he was very good value.
  2. I miss playing football. I miss the cameradery, the laughs, the awful windy pitches on Billseley Common and the unmistakable smell of the changing rooms. [\jumpersforgoalposts] And on a related note, I miss not aching from arthritis after a ten minute walk.
  3. I'm not normally a fan of re-makes. You get used to certain actors playing certain roles and when you've loved a show in the past, the re-make never quite captures the spirit of the original. Having said all that, the new incarnation of DangerMouse is excellent
  4. Don't go to Mexico then. Happened to Kirsty Macoll. Reluctant, guilty like.
  5. You know it started Sunday past, yeah? Yep, I've got it on series link so I'm trying to get through 4 so I can catch up with 5.
  6. Against my better judgement, I started Homeland (Season 4) last night as it just appeared on Netflix. I've now got to try and bat through it in double-quick time so I can keep up with Season 5 on Channel 4.
  7. Just about the only benefit to having a two hour commute (each way) is that I have time to dedicate to listening to music. I think I'd have topped myself long-since if I'd not had walkmans/discmans/minidisc players/ipods to accompany my journeys on the capitals public transport over the last 15 years.
  8. I could be wrong but I took it to mean that people who have been genuinely successful don't feel the need to post pictures of sunsets/rainbows/other such images which are accompanied with a sentimental/supposedly inspirational quote. Whereas those who do (or at least some) are either not as successful as they'd like to be or at the least insecure about their achievements. Indeed. Pictures of landscapes with cliched quotes about love/friendship/hope etc mainly (not all the time) or pictures of cats seem to be posted by people with car crash personal lives, mainly self inflicted through constant bad choices in life combined with a little bit of bad luck. Also most of them tend to be female. Fixed
  9. Finally finished Doctor Foster on iPlayer last night. It really was a very good show and Suranne Jones was excellent in it. 9/10 WB
  10. Could be worse. Us Scots have a team filled with players we've never heard of who only dream of being able to play dull football.
  11. Falling out of love with my thoroughly attractive Polish dentist due to her commenting on my new Jordans by saying "Nice Skechers". Any chance you might have had is now gone, love.
  12. Don't feel guilty about it, chief. You gave them 12 years of your life. There's obviously no need to flash it around to all and sundry but enjoy it. Most of us would kill for an opportunity like that.
  13. we call that seagull management at my place, swoops in makes a load of noise, shits over everything and **** off ive never bested them but ive made myself very aware of what my role and responsibilities are made sure ive only done that, no favours, no extra hours, ive done my job and nothing else, when stuff isnt being done it will reflect badly on your line manager and then those above her might consider her inept too, risky game to play though I know I've posted this before but......
  14. I liked that before my jealousy kicked-in.
  15. I know it's never been good but it used to be passable. My nephew really wanted to go there earlier in the year so I relented (against my better judgement). Single worst meal I can remember having in London and the experience element of it (the movie memorabilia) was almost non-existent. The only positive is that it didn't empty my wallet as much as I was expecting it to.
  16. Predictable response is predicable:
  17. When asked about the reasons why he resigned, Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat said, "Someone poured lemonade over me and it just snowballed from there

  19. He must have a big nob too. I'm similarly ugly and stinking rich but get no such attention.
  20. That looks awesome. Don't know why nobody else recommended that sooner! Can't believe nobody suggested Tenko.
