CarewsEyebrowDesigner 11,182
That I can't look at graphic (gory) pictures anymore. Years ago I'd click on anything, shit, I'd have clicked on them not that long ago. Now I just haven't the stomach for it. Too upsetting all of a sudden. Hm.

I'm not sure if you're being serious. It's a channel for pubs. I don't think it's even available to most consumers, you need a commercial license to subscribe to it. mjmooney 26,648
You went on holiday to keswick? You know how to treat your missus, ay you smooth bastard Her idea, mate. [1] We both love the Lakes. We could even handle the rain, but too many things went wrong this week. Perfect shitstorm. [1] She chose the accommodation, and paid for it. mjmooney 26,648
I saw a black squirrel in the woods the other week in Hungary , didnt even know there was such a thing until that point Apparently they're just reds or greys that are for some reason producing sort of "anti-albinos". So there are black red squirrels and black grey squirrels.

trekka 1,836
Having renewed tenancy at a flat in London for another year, I get a text from the landlord saying "great that you're renewing, certainly saves me a lot of hassle. I've popped by a few times and everything looked OK but I haven't done a proper inspection in 2 years and last time my concern was at the amount of dust around skirting boards etc. I'll pop by next week to do a proper inspection and discuss a professional clean to get it back". Cheeky bastard. 1. I had a leak (its on the top floor) and as a goodwill gesture I let him "pop by" whilst I wasn't here over christmas to re-plaster the ceiling. This was the last time he was here and the place had been vacant for 2 weeks prior. 2. A bit of dust around skirting boards does not constitute a breach of tenancy(!) 3. If he wants to get someone in to do a "professional clean" then he can pay for it. I keep the place the clean. This just irks me big time.

Our landlady txt us last week to say the estate agents have recomended increasing the rent, we've been here for 8 months and I spend atleast 2 hours a week removing mould from the upstairs bedrooms, I'm like a caretaker in the house and she txts me to say the rent might be going up! I just told her to **** right off and said I will go through appropriate channels and not pay any rent until the mould is sorted

CrackpotForeigner 2,603
Populist rhetoric. Why do we let politicians get away with blowing smoke up our collective arses? "The American spirit is undiminished by..." "The people of Britain are united in their resolve to..." "Australians are hard-working/tolerant/determined, etc." Every time some vote-grubbing polly comes out with crap like that I get a warm fuzzy feeling for a nanosecond, followed by disgust at their cynical attempt at manipulation. Unfortunately the voting masses seem to lap it up. What a bunch of fools we are.

legov 611
What did you expect? Fools, I s'pose Well, if you were a businessman and wanted people to buy your goods, you wouldn't say anything that would piss off potential customers. Similarly, if you were looking to get elected, you would praise your electorate, not disparage them. Regrettable state of affairs, perhaps, but entirely natural.
