Nicho
I think if Klopp hadn't taken a break Rodgers would be gone. First sign of trouble and I think that will be the case. I would love to see a Benteke that is fired up under Klopp. I will never see that in a villa shirt unfortunately. If he goes to Liverpool then we have had 3 years out of him some great goals and £32 million. I will not say good luck to Liverpool but I watch enough football to enjoy watching good players and would be able bare him staying in the prem so that I can continue watching him.

And Benteke is expected to become the Reds' seventh signing of the summer. Probably the shabbiest piece of sports journalism I have ever seen. If anyone doubts that Liverpool have friends in the media and they can plant stories to suit there's your proof. It will sell copies. That is the main (only) aim of journalism in the 21st century.
Wainy316
Sherwood on Sky Sports this morning: Pete Colley: “Benteke, big question, big player, are you going to keep him at the Villa? Sherwood: Yes. Another £100? (asking Colley if he would like another bet)…Listen, we want Christian here. We want to keep our best players and Christian is certainly one of those. Well this certainly suggests it's not as far advanced as all the media are making out.

JoeParker91
32.5million would help us improve our squad dramatically, I'd wish him all the best if he goes and hope he can reach the very top. Our current links give me hope that we'd invest the money quite well too.

Supervillan78
Sorry if this has been posted already... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11677/9904912/tim-sherwood-betting-on-christian-benteke-staying-at-aston-villa Tim Sherwood betting on Christian Benteke staying at Aston Villa Last Updated: 06/07/15 12:24pm Tim Sherwood wants Christian Benteke to stay at Aston Villa. Tim Sherwood has collected after winning a bet with a Sky Sports reporter regarding the status of Aston Villa's ownership – and he’s willing to place another wager that Christian Benteke will be around for the start of the season as well. The Villa boss put £100 on the line in a bet with reporter Pete Colley that Aston Villa would not have a change of owners before July 6 – the start of the club’s pre-season training. Villa will head out to Portugal as part of their preparation for the new Premier League season before kicking off their campaign with a visit to Bournemouth on August 8. Given that he seems to be on a roll, Sherwood is now willing to bet that Belgian striker Benteke will be around to lead the line when the transfer window shuts. “Yeah, another £100 that he will,” Sherwood said. “Listen we want Christian here, we want to keep our best players and Christian is certainly one of those.” Sherwood, who took over the Villa hotseat in February following the sacking of Paul Lambert, said he is looking to improve on last season’s finish, which saw him lead the side to Premier League safety and an FA Cup final at Wembley. That ended on a sour note, however, with the side suffering a 4-0 defeat to Arsenal. Sherwood knows that painful memory won’t be forgotten easily but hopes to have the chance to make amends with another trip to the national stadium. “We are looking for an improvement on last season,” Sherwood said. “It would be great to go to Wembley twice like we did last year and improve our league position. We are looking to get ourselves not in a relegation battle and push up that league. “It’s not easy to (forget the final) because what everyone always remembers out there is the cup final. Forget that Aston Villa hasn’t been there since God knows how long, it’s the case that we didn’t perform when we got there and we have to take that on the chin and do better. “I think our fans wills take another couple of appearances at Wembley this year.” Sherwood is hoping to complete his third summer signing, following the arrivals of Micah Richards and Scott Sinclair from Manchester City, by completing a deal for Lille midfielder Idrissa Gueye. Even though they face potential work permit issues, the Villa boss thinks the deal will go through. He added: “It’s looking that way, we are hoping for him to sign. We’ve got work permit issues, but I think we will be alright for that one.”

tylerreznik
If I knew how to use Photoshoto and had a few hours spare, I'd love to photoshop most of the Liverpool first XI wearing Man Utd jersey's and spam the Express twitter account.... I've not lived in England since I was a young kid, do people over there really buy / read / believe the nonsense these gutter tabloids print? Seems like a very unique market that can support so many sad excuses for newspapers...

I THOUGHT it was her, so when i got back to our apartment thought I'd see if it was, and it is lol. It's weird because i only know her from here, I've never seen or heard of her before.
