Ironically, this is the one fixture of the season (besides WBA) where Gabby would probably be useful.
That being said I still don't want to see him in the side.
Considering we now have creative, intelligent attacking threats (Traore, Gil, Grealish, Sinclair), I struggle to see where Gabby would fit.
Hopefully, once those lads are match fit, he'll be used properly as an impact substitute and WBA demolisher.
A guy called Charlie Austin meets all those requirements. Proven premiership goalscorer who will guarantee goals. In before the VT hipsters who have never even seen these players play other then on football manager name Embolo, etc.
FM is real life damnit!
Embolo > Austin
And I've never played Football Manager in my life.
I would argue that none of those players play in a similar position to Jack with the exception of Traore who clearly favors the right.
It's also unfair to say that he spent the summer, "getting smashed out of his tree."
I'm sorry but this really made me laugh.
Why? Look at the market, wickhams scoring record is worse than gabbys he's going for £9m, Rhodes is going for £14m, relegated hull are flogging players for £7-8m not to mention buying Hernandez for £10m
Well, Wickham is 22 for starters. Rhodes has a significantly better scoring record, granted he plays in the Championship, but he's also a few years younger.
I think we would be lucky to get £3m for Gabby.
I second that. I have a sneaking suspicion that he may prove to be our signing of this window.
I think it'll be Amavi but fair play. They should compliment each other nicely.
Yep. I really don't want to know anything about how he's doing for Liverpool only because I know he'll do really well and it'll piss me off. Obviously I won't miss everything but I'll look away as much as I can.
Cheer up! He'll only be at Liverpool for a year or two, then he'll move to a Champions League side.
