It bothers me that Rugely's life is the way it is.

It also bothers me that someone in here was egging him on to fall off the wagon.

Disturbing.

Yeah that will have been me, I'd had a drink myself but I quickly realised what I was saying and then offered a few sensible posts afterwards.

i dont think im going to die any time soon, well not from drugs anyway unless my heart decides its had enough but i think im alright for a bit. all the hard work over the last month and all the positives has now been ruined and yet again i find myself here feeling tired and generally like shit. also its created distance between me and my missus, last night i slept on the floor in my lads room which was my choice as i knew she did not want to be anywhere near me. also today im going out all day with the kids so i can give her some space, its been a horrible weekend. but ay there are people much worse off than me so i should count myself as lucky. what triggered friday night? well id had a bad day at work and with the stress of trying to have enough money for wedding and moving house the strees to earn money at work took over so i got myself four cans from the shop and i felt better once id started drinking then i got some more cans and the rest is history. definitely not worth it.

I fear someone posting in here will die soon :(

Quite probably, but I bet that person dies from something alcohol/car accident related rather than a drugs overdose? Unless of course they are injecting with unknown/cut substances which increases the risk 100x.   This could be avoided with proper government controls in place

Luge/bobsleigh etc are pretty dangerous recreational activities?  Is it responsible behaviour for a parent to be hurtling headfirst down a hill at 90mph?  Or is it ok because there are safety regulations in place?

Surely, if the statistics actually worked out that it was safer to shoot up than drive or drink alcohol - that would be a good indicator we should ban driving and / or drinking, not allow additional drugs to be legalised?

I'd like to see the stats though, deaths per car journey versus deaths per use of drugs.

I've never known my friends complain their house or car was broken in to by a crazy bobsleigh addict. So they appear to be fairly self contained activities.

On a luge off your tits on drugs would be pretty dangerous.

Don't even think about it Ruge!

That's how it got started - hooray Henries coming out of the casino, off their faces on champagne and coke, and going down the Cresta Run on tin trays for a bet.

  • 1 month later...

I was driving down the Hagley Road many years ago having been getting a little lively earlier in the day and it turned into a ferocious purple river and my car into a boat. I was rowing it man and it was quite a nice experience until David Bowie - Heroes came on the radio and then I noticed the river was running to a waterfall, at this point I started panicking and decided to park my boat on the Oddbins car park and chill out. Melted my **** head man.
