Isn't Trump of German descent?

Now there is a country who's has some questionable leaders over the years.

Yes. The family's name was originally Drumpf. They anglicised it after moving to the US.

Three out of the four were born in the USA

Trump did say they "originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe".

He's just making it seem like he's talking about other countries.  Clever, clever Trump :detect:.

This is also timed with some pretty amazing/funny goings on in Puerto Rico right now, where the governor and all his pals have had all sorts from their whatapp group leaked. Simply astonishing stupidity.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/latino/puerto-rico-governor-says-he-s-not-resigning-after-private-n1029661

E.g., "The group used a homophobic comment in relation to international pop star Ricky Martin, who is from Puerto Rico. On Twitter, Martin urged Rosselló to step down."

If there had been a language proficiency test for immigrants at that time, perhaps calling yourself "Fart" would suggest you might fail it.

Honestly the way he keeps repeating that racist line and insinuating that Omar supports Al Qaeda, he's really trying to get her killed. Straight up fascist propaganda. How the hell did they let it get to this point?

I don’t think he’s insinuating it is he? I thought he’d straight out said it.

His followers are loving this. His overt racism is the number one reason they voted for him and why they continue to excuse his complete failure of a presidency.

I haven't seen this reliably confirmed or otherwise, but it's entirely consistent with other verified examples of how people are being treated.

It's reminiscent of Nazi Germany, where government policy at a strategic level was seen to validate and permit micro level cruelty at the personal level.

How could the guard do what is reported here?  How can anyone sink so low?  But it happened before, lots of places, and it's happening again.

Diabolical in the truest sense. Heartless cruelty as a matter of policy. There's big money to be made in these camps, just ask General Kelly.

I read it's $775 per day per prisoner. To have them stand around in cramped conditions with inadequate food and personal hygiene supplies.

Disaster capitalism at it's finest.

2.3 million people in prison.

Started with that neo-lib pioneer Saint Reagan and finally codified by The Clintons and their crime bill.

Healthcare/Education/Safety - profit opportunities.
