Its just a matter of time before one of the twatter ITK's guess a player PL actually is bidding on, then the board will panic and get the deal done sharpish before they get hijacked. Gary Karsa is PLs man, someone to help him with his job of manager. What is being called a DoF is the owners man, someone to give him independent advice on the actions and suggestions of the manager and his team. Don't know whether we need the full blown Director of football - but we need someone more savvy at Faulkner level to set the overall strategy and appoint managers to continue that strategy. As it was the last 3 appointments haven't been able to work much with what the previous manager left them. Someone to have a finger on the pulse - so if our cheif scout leaves, for example another one is already in the pipeline, same with managers, where as villa since MON left villa have been caught with there pants down - I beleive Lambert will depart before very much longer, is anyone confident that Faulkner has even considered his replacement ? Reason why i would go for Boteng is because Jol is going for him. Jol normally has a good eye for a player in Europe, would really have liked him to come to Villa way back.
