  1. I don't mind it either, all I'd change is have the wording above the lion and not underneath. Seems strange as it doesn't line up with the point of the crest. The shape is better as well IMO
  2. Chris Heck has tweeted the same but used the old Lerner badge
  3. Now with Betano deal being released (link below), I'm hoping the Adidas deal confirmation will follow shortly, then the new badge https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2024/april/22/aston-villa-and-betano-announce-principal-partnership-/
  4. I like the slight shape change to the Lerner badge but I DO NOT like Aston Villa being at the bottom. just seems wrong to me.
  5. It's a shame to see him not really hit the ground running after his exploits elsewhere, there's definitely a player in there just seems to of hit a bad bit of form. Having said that, how many players in recent seasons have us fans deemed not good enough, it's been said about Konsa, Dougie, Bailey and more recently Watkins. My point being, with him starting on Sunday Unai obviously see's something in him to give him that chance. I've also got to say it was like playing with 10 men yesterday. UTV
  6. I'm still unsure on the silence of Zaniolo betting behaviour, whether it's a good thing or not? A lot about Tonali and that Fagioli in the press but not so much Zaniolo
  7. On mine at the end I said main thing was 'Aston Villa' need to stay,. If we were to return to a shield I liked the one from the 90's (just 'cuz that's my era) and if we were to go with a circle, that there'd be no solid circle but the wording to be around the lion in the shape of a circle. I've seen a few version where the wording is shaped in a circle instead of a solid shape and I thought it looked great.
  8. Fans are Nostalgic, it was always going to end up the circle badge. I voted for the 'Gas lamp' design but was happy with either, main point for me was that 'Aston Villa' needed to be back rather than just 'AVFC' The only feeling on being 'disjointed' as they said was the fact that they had different iterations of the old (last season) and this singular lion on all the commercial and social side and the new badge (which went to a fan vote) only on playing side of things. If it had all converted to new, I don't think there'd be a problem. IMO of course
  9. That Saudi team have been given a transfer embargo as they owe a load of money, Fabrizio who is very credible says it's been agreed the players side and that Villa will no doubt go in with a new pay structure. So there's more hope for us IMO
  10. My point wasn't meant to blame the fans. When it came to the point of new crest we shouldn't be looking back which is why they changed the lion but then went to a previous circle badge LOL We could have kept the circle concept if that was what the fans were leaning towards and have the wording in a circular shape without it being encased in a circle. I think I've seen a few examples on here already and good 1s, I get the feeling from what that Heck has done in his previous role, we may be going to a lion only, Just a feeling.
  11. Me and my brother was talking about this whole new crest vote, the conclusion we came to was, DO NOT give the vote to the fans. A lot of fans will automatically go back on memories of our most recent successful era (yes I know 94 & 96 we good) but the big 1 would be the European cup. It's just crazy that we've have a new badge and we're using the old 1 as well.
  12. Well Well Well, have we had a life line there I wonder
  13. Hopefully there'll be deals soon with money off, as £70 & £55 when u have 2 kids is crippling. Really loving it though, I personally thinks it's a great effort. Hopefully we hear about the away soon UTV
  14. Very much love the new shirt, however what I don't love is the the pricing! £70 for adults & £55 for kids, that's appalling when Wolves have same kit maker and is £60 & £45 I have 2 kids who will both want a shirt
  15. Nothing like a Twitter meltdown is there We all knew who the sponsor was going to be
  16. IMO, I think there'll be something at 10am as that'll give people time then to get to the shop for 2pm. I've seen a few people saying "oh I'll be impressed if they get it sorted at this short of notice" as if you believe this is a last minute thing. The shirt sponsor was rumoured months ago, the badge was sorted months ago, and we've got same kit maker. I never get why people compare us to other clubs, just chill, sit back and enjoy it when it comes. You're gonna buy it anyway UTV
  17. Yeah I seen it might be similar to the 93/94 kit, I hope it is as it was my 1st ever kit.
  18. Yeah not to mention the concerts happening at VP at the moment, I'm sure this would be holding the changes to the stands. The Holte for instance has the brick work mosaic to change, I doubt that could take place with people walking around.
  19. Maybe, hopefully I wonder if that's why they've been pushing end of sales nearly everyday for nearly last 2 weeks LOL
  20. I think they must be gearing up soon for a release as I noticed on the recent email about weekend sale on last season shirts that 'CAZOO' was removed. So I checked the Vila website and at the bottom they've also been removed from principle partners
  21. At least the 1st game I believe as their pitch won't be ready, I'm calling BS just like last season when there was a 'supposed' leak and it was miles off
  22. Absolutely good shout on the 92/93, also the 93/94 as well, as it was my 1st kit and it had 'coca cola cup winners on it. Loved that shirt
  23. Personally probably cuz' of my age but I'd like something like the 96' shirt, with the new badge printed in the shirt Or the the 99/00 striped shirt www.fanatics-intl.com
  24. No you're good my bro and I get your point, well put together I might add TBF that 2nd team albeit with a couple of youngsters thrown in, I think is still pretty strong given Pep ball is the way they're taught. I'd like to think Villa can fish from the same pool as Newcastle this transfer window with Emery selling our project, but UCL will inevitably have a better pull will certain players. Look it's all speculation at the moment with who we're in for, so I'm taking the stance of laying back and enjoying the ride UTV
