January 2013 Transfer Talk

It doesn't have to be like that though does it. For as poor as things have been we are with in a point of survival. We have showed very recently we are capable of performing and I am certain that had we have had decent defensive midfielder and a new centre half involved over this last 4 weeks we'd now be anywhere between 4 and 8 points better off. We are not a million miles away and still have winnable games against Fulham, QPR, West Ham, Wigan, Norwich, Sunderland, Stoke, Liverpool to come. We could have shown by making another couple of signings this window that we intend to fight to the finish and have a real go. It would have sent a message to the players we already have and the fans that we are not giving up.

If we fail to make any more signings it is such a sad waste and a decision we could well regret for years.

I agree Mark, my point was that the time for such action was three weeks ago. We all already know that these players weren't coming, Sylla was an unexpected bonus.

Have you seen him, he looks precisely like the typical kind of smug clearing in the woods who sits on a keyboard criticising people all day long because he is, infact, one of life's big losers.

He looks like he specialises in 'banter'. I'd also wager that he's a gloryhunting clearing in the woods.

completely forgot about that hes got us over a barrell then  big big trouble ahead.

Well i'm sure he will want that money back so he has no choice other than to make us slightly successful again. The approach he's taking is a risky one though.

what do u meen choffer?

Jack grealish "can't believe most of the lads I've spent last 5-8 years with have left today"

Bradley Lewis " mixed emotional day. I've known most of the people in my team for ten years and I won't see them again".

(Although spelling above is much better than in their tweets)

Mat Kendrick said he thinks we might sign another this morning. A lot of time has passed since then. If we don't sign anyone, we'll get Lambert in his press conference tomorrow rambling on about wages/transfer fees being way too high.

We should invite him on to VT, he'd fit right in  ;)

We'll wait until summer and we'll go again
