He might get the next one right. Wasn't given the money for Creswell or the like, and so has to go for option B and C. Yes, he's about 10x the footballer, but that doesn't even make him THAT good, he's just so far ahead of the abysmal Bennett it's sad. IIRC Ipswich were holding out for £5m for Cresswell. His issues are partly physical, being the leaf he is, but it's mostly understanding of the game. Gets himself the wrong side, doesn't know how to stand a man up, show someone wide, deal with someone bigger than him aerially, stuff you learn when you're 15. Accident waiting to happen, very nearly cost us the win Sat. He can pass if given time, and has a bit of quality in general with his left foot, but we need solidity there right now. I'd have Lichaj there, or even Clark at a push for the next two. Keep Baker in the middle. Posted after we'd won away at Norwich and just about secured our safety last season. He's been even worse in his brief cameos this season. Next time he plays, watch how annoyed the other players (none of whom are playing well anyway) get with him.
