vandaq
One swallow does not a summer make and one decent free kick does not paper over an abysmal return on the investment. Might be, but from our standpoint atm we have to give credit where it is due. He has given us a lot these last couple of games and he might be a vital player in the future. He has delivered where a lot of others have failed to be honest. Still, it`s not enough yet and he has more to show off himself before we can say it was a good investment. Right now it looks like a good, let`s hope he can keep it up. His goal today must have given him a lot of confidence for sure.

Investment? Meh, couldn't care less how much he cost personally. The club didn't seem to care at the time so why should I? All I know is that he's turned it around. He's become an excellent player for us at exactly the right time. Again, not sure he had the best of games today, but he always carries a threat and when we needed somebody to step up and ease the nerves that's exactly what he did. Nice one Charlie. I'm becoming a fan.

Since he has been fit and played in his correct position that is. Funny that eh.
KSV
Reminds me of Downing.. had a really shit first season.. but second season came good. Bit like Zoggy. Dont blame him for not playing well under Mcleish. He doesnt promote the idea of playing football
YerMa
Was happy for him today, deserved a goal after his last few weeks or so where he has really put a shift in.
Jarpie
I've been impressed with N'Zogbia for past month or so, one of the players who we need to survive this relegation battle. I really hope he gets more goals as it'd certain build his confidence.
dudevillaisnice
If we are to stay up we have to rely on N'Zogbia.. he has been there and done that and escaped. He imo also kept Wigan up by himself at one point. Must start every game and play every minute as possible.
magnkarl
What made me happy was the fact that he smiled and celebrated like someone who actually cares! Long may his form continue!
Richard
Well one thing about him is he is at least used to these relegation battles from his time with Wigan

Raver50032
Good goal - at the Holte too... Proper heart warming stuff. Keep up the good fight Charles... we're counting on you.
samjp26
He almost went to kiss the badge...did anyone see it? Yeah, he kissed his hand and then grabbed the badge, good to see him putting in the fight that we need - probably our best 'senior' player right now. El-Reacho
Remember Milner scoring almost exactly the same FK against Everton (I think) at VP a few years back.
Swerbs
Milner's was more around the wall, N'Zogbia's was straight up and over.
BOF Posted February 11, 2013 Moderator Share Posted February 11, 2013 Yesterday he proved me wrong for pretty much the first time. Keep it up, lad, keep it up.
Dr_Pangloss
LOL it was nothing like Milner's free kick.
Woodytom
Milner's was more around the wall, N'Zogbia's was straight up and over. Milners was a lot further out as well
Stevo985 Posted February 11, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted February 11, 2013 Yeah but apart from being further out, and around the wall instead of over it, and with his other foot, and against a different team, it was exactly the same.
Eames
He just needs to be the main man. Like he was at Wigan. One of those players that you need to tell him how special he is, how good he is and then just leave him to get on with it.
