  1. Was happy for him today, deserved a goal after his last few weeks or so where he has really put a shift in.
  2. Never going to happen but would like to see team given a crack, GK Guzan RB Lowton CB Dunne CB Baker LB Warnock DM Westwood DM Clark AM N'Zogbia AM Ireland S Benteke S Bent
  3. Given - pants from corners like the rest of our side, didnt have a lot else to do - 5 Lowton - Flattered to deceive once again, many wasteful crosses - 5 Vlaar - His one mistake was crucial unfortunately, otherwise ok - 6 Clark - Not good enough - 4 Bennett - Hines had him in his pocket again, looked better going forward, but its a defender we need first and foremost - 5 N'Zogbia - Tired badly and stopped running second half - 6 Ireland - Looked ok first half , then went missing again - 4 Bannan - Pointless player for us - 3 Delph - Worked tirelessly but not good enough (and that feigned pass thing he does every time he getys the ball is getting on my tits) - 4 Agbonlahor - Not at the races tonight - 4 Benteke - Our best player and someones elses best player next year - 7 Subs Weimann - Love this guys attitude and endeavour, good finish - 8 Bent - Non existent, doesnt look too bothered either - 2 Well done Bradford, well deserved now hopefully they can go on and win the thing. Villa - inept, clueless, lazy, uninspired, awful.. I could go on but theres not enough words in the english language to describe my thoughts on this once great club. The fish rots from the head - Lerner out, Faulkner out and my first time saying this Lambert out. We are going down but lets hope it can reshape the club in the process with a whole new board, coaching staff etc. Sad night, sad 3 years preceeding it
  4. Shocking result and team selection. Mr. Houllier - thanks for buying Darren Bent, you're free to go now. This is not just a reaction to this game - it is to this season as a whole, I personally dont think he is the right man or personality to manage Aston Villa Football Club. MON was a very frustrating manager but he was a manager who got results, I think his time had come at Vill a too by the way but GH is a very frustrating manager who is not getting results and is in no way endearing himself to the Villa supporter base or even attempting to. I applaud him for giving the young lads match time but playing same young players out of preferred position can shatter confidence as much as playing them can increase their confidence. His treatment of Ireland, Warnock and Beye is questionable, international players - two of which could have played tonight but for a disgruntled manager with his nose out of joint. At least Beye and Warnock, all though no worldbeaters, are in fact fullbacks. This season has seen us go backwards in a big way - hopefully that does not lead to an exodus of players, hopefully it just leads to an exodus of management staff. My opinion is we need to start next season with a new manager. I do not believe we will win anything under Mr. Houllier.
  5. Friedel 6 - One save of note, could not do much about the goal - steady Walker 8 - I thought he was a thorn in their side all day and his overlapping runs are what we need. Looked ok defensively too but in fairness was never really tested. Baker 6 - Looked handy enough til goin off.. Dunne 8 - One mistake but a lot of composed play Clark 7 - Like him coming out of defence with the ball at his feet but a little lax at times, but this guy is a central defender and this is his best position. Downing 9 - My MOTM today, worked his socks off and deserved his goal. Set up one and scored one, cant ask for much more. I may have eat my words on Stu as he has improved a lot since start of the season, still find him a bit soft at tuimes though. NRC 8 - Very very iumpressed with Reo's display, unluckyt not to get my MOTM(Im sure he will be shattered to hear that). Young 7 - played well, particularly in the second half. Still more efective on the wings, his set peieces were atrocious today too. Albrighton 6 - Not up to his usual standard today Bent 6 - Made some great runs but his touch seemed a bit off today but gee its good to have an intelligent striker making intelligent runs. Pires 6 - Look he played ok but would have been exposed by any other team today, his lack of pace was really hurting us first half, got caught in possession a few times. Not a fan of him starting games Delph 7 - Played very well but not a full back, against better sides he would have a lot more work to do. Petrov 7 - Looked good I thought and seemed to enjoy a more forward position. Heskey 5 - THAT MISS, proved he is still Emile Heskey after all
  6. The standard of refereeing in the Premiership at the moment is dismal, so really it doesnt matter who it is. I feel a score draw coming on but hey this is a nothing to lose game so hopefully we just go for it. UTV
