Be funnier if Brighton leapfrogged both of them

Now that would be comedy gold.

(In a scenario where if we've nothing to play for by the time we play Brighton) I would actually hope they beat us if it meant they got 4th place over them both. I never want Villa to lose but it would be fantastic if it all materialised that way.

I was stating your post from here and had seen your other post and combined them.

Hypocritical lot.

Not hypocritical at all. They think they can boo the national anthem no problem, but would anyone get away with booing there anthem without them complaining.

Go boo Never Walk alone see what happens, they'll have you in court with a lifetime ban, an some fans sueing you for stress related illness from it.

They should be grateful. They could wheedle a 6 month sicknote out of that.

They just hit some ridiculous form and it was completely out of the blue.

Been so inconsistent all season.

So weird.

cream rises to the top

they've still got a £700m odd squad and when they were struggling managed to bolster it with £40m gakpo, it was the form for the first half of the year that was out of character not the current form

still think they're swimming against the tide though, couple more years "competing" with man city whereas in reality they're settling for 4th, then fighting for 4th and "winning" it, then slip out all together, for me its all about when they replace klopp and hopefully its too late

Agree with the squad comments, they've been like an unreliable supercar, when it's all working it's amazing and you get things like the 7-0 but when it breaks it's a nightmare. And it's just going to break more and more unless serious money spent

They have won 6 in a row but except Leeds and 1st half vs Spurs they still have looked average.

Robbed points from Fulham, West Ham and Spurs

Fair enough.

I haven't watched any of their games.

That Arsenal second half got them going again.

Lose that and they might've just given up the season like Chelsea have.

A sliding doors moment that sent us on a path to two shit outcomes (one in the title race, one in their European push).

Liverpool going to appoint Jorg Schmadtke as Sporting Director, their 3rd in 12 months.  Never heard of him, but seems quite mid for a club of Liverpool's size, only been at some mid tier German clubs, biggest being Wolfsburg.

Signed some diamonds in the rough and sold them for decent money, not exactly what Liverpool need if they have any intention of rejoining Man City at the top.

The paradigm of football.

”waaaah, <club> spends £50m on a player it’s so unfair”
but also
”well there’s no ambition at <club> unless they’re spending a fortune”
