Pelle
We can get a better full back than Mellberg like who?? mellberg is class he would get into most teams, id even say he would be ahead of wes brown, and senderos of arsenal when ollies on top form Agreed, Dem, but not as a fullback. He's needed in the centre of the defence.
Daholteend
McCann is playing great football so far this season. I wouldn't be replacing him in the middle and I bet MO'N isn't thinking of doing it either. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Now, how about adding another Petrov to our team. Martin Petrov at Atletico Madrid might be a good shout.
robeynon
I dont think we will be able to get Darren Bent because of the fact that charlton will be struggling and wont want to lose their only goalscorer. Obviously if he wanted to leave and join a good club on the up then maybe If we are going to play 4-4-2 from now on then our striking options will be vastly improved because playing the 4-3-3 formation means we have to have a strong targetman in the centre with two wingers therefore overlooking players like Defoe, Darren Bent and Robbie Keane, although they have pace, they wouldnt be best used as wingers and probably wouldnt hold the ball up aswell as Angel. So playing the two up top you can mix and match the pair depending on who we are playing thats if MON will play 4-4-2...........................but i think he may!!! robeynon
comment by villa-76 posted 13 Hours Ago My signings would be David Villa from Valencia Stephen Appiah from Fenerbache Eric Abidal from Lyon Kevin Nolan from Bolton Romeo Castelen from Feyenoord (instead of Milner). Should cost us the best part of £40m for the above. Now that would be some spending ! add comment | complain about this comment found this on BBC 606, i like this guys ambition but dont think its realistic

Short link (sorry cant do the short link thing) Read the guidelines thread in the Villa forum. It explains how to do short links. It really isn't very difficult. Thats what I thought when reading the article. I think a few years of catching up needs doing first. Though its worth enquiring, you don't get if you don't try. Stranger things have happened. Rocafella
Yeah that's my point as well. Of course Klose, Schweinsteiger and Grosso are "out of our reach" right now, but why not think big and try? I mean, Tevez and Mascherano are currently West Ham-players for god's sake! We need a couple of jewels, then others will follow like a game of domino. We need a couple of jewels, then others will follow like a game of domino. Irrelevant. West Ham don't actually own the players in the traditional sense and it won't be West Hams choice when they leave. If they wanted to buy them upfront, no strings attached, they'd not have a hope in hell. And look what that sort of deal has done to them.
