Say NSFE decide to go all out and we signed Mbappe for £250m, they pay the transfer fee fine, what about his 5 year contract on £1m a week? Do they have to put £260m into a account somewhere to cover his wages and they don't get it back if they sold? How would they quantify how much they owe for the wages and how much the club owe (via what they generate)? That's just one contract amid a whole host of other expenses. Agree but de Bruyne has the problem that for all his quality he's just not exciting is he? lapal_fan Posted October 3, 2022 Share Posted October 3, 2022 KdB is probably the best "pure" footballer since Zidane I'd say (don't say it lightly either). He's a 7 or 8/10 for everything. His technique is fantastic, his decision making is amazing, his vision is second to none, his timing is really good. It's like he can see the pitch like someone playing FIFA does. The one thing he has to do, to get involved in that conversation, is bring City a CL home, and I hope it doesn't happen. As for Haaland?
