Haaland De Bruyne might just drag us toward playing half decent football, Haaland would score goals no matter how bad the football was, he'd have got his hat trick vs Leeds with how we played

HKP90 Posted October 4, 2022 VT Supporter Share Posted October 4, 2022 Haaland is like when I drop the difficulty of my 'be a player' on Fifa to Professional. I might do that again now, as it's no longer unrealistic.
Genie
I saw this the other day but it might be old news, Raheem Sterling’s payslip when at City. Apparently it was in his car when it went in for a service.
villa89
I'm more shocked they get paper payslips rather than electronic ones than with the figures involved.

bannedfromHandV
According to the Daily Heil (hardly reliable) Haaland is on close to 900k per week. Absolutely insane if true, irrespective of how unbelievable he is.

Wainy316
This is why we will never compete. Even if our outgoings on transfers are up there with the top clubs from time to time, it's the wages clubs can offer that create the true gulf. VillaJ100
Where the hell has City's revenue come from? Prize money isn't that sort of numbers and they don't seem to have as many plastics as even Chelsea, and Man u and Liverpool are light years ahead with the amount of plastics. Got to be fake revenue surely?

Got to be fake revenue surely? everyone was down in terms of matchday revenue due to corona so stadium revenue wasnt as important CL final run paid them mega money like £100m+, they also did well in the other cups, they also slightly fiddled the books and took some of the TV money from a different season and of course they're now on TV a lot they've then also expanded their partnership deals with a mixture of proper and fiddled deals, for example newcastle have now got their record breaking £7.5m deal with their saudi mates for a sleeve sponsor, city will be able to go out and get a better one via genuine means because they are a better team, citys will be worth double newcastles (villas will stay around £1m) more than anything it shows what the CL is, keeps the big boys very rich

Genie
Goes to show the base salary is irrelevant these days. They can have £300k/w and it not even be the main part of their club earnings.

The Abu Dhabi family, the Saudis, the Qataris… All these oil sheikhs who are members of the royal families of sovereign nations famous for human rights abuses and people trafficking… They don’t even give a toss about the sports they are “investing” in… The World Cup, LIV golf, heavyweight boxing fights, Man City, PSG, Newcastle… They just love sneering and proving to everyone that they can put a price on everything and anything and pay it without breaking a sweat… It would just be really nice for once… just once… for someone to have some principles… for someone to stick the middle finger up at them, tell them to stick their money up their arses and call them out for what they are…
