Imagine we found some loophole in the Delph buyout and we were entitled to loan one of Haaland or De Bruyne for the rest of the season which would you pick?

Haaland

De Bruyne might just drag us toward playing half decent football, Haaland would score goals no matter how bad the football was, he'd have got his hat trick vs Leeds with how we played

De Bruyne. We barely create anything for our current strikers. Even Haaland be struggling with the chances Watkins gets

I saw this the other day but it might be old news, Raheem Sterling’s payslip when at City.

Apparently it was in his car when it went in for a service.

I am a billion percent sure Premier League players are getting paper pay slips

Also why has the payslip got no dates

weird that they probably just lost the garage the custom of sterling and any other man city player that used it plus probably their own job for the sake of a few twitter likes

So 8.5m plus 18m loyalty bonus per year? I'm available for the busy fixture period...

According to the Daily Heil (hardly reliable) Haaland is on close to 900k per week.

Absolutely insane if true, irrespective of how unbelievable he is.

Problem is, when a player goes on such ridiculous wages it raises the bar for general wages throughout the league.

rising tide lifts all boats, thats partly why i dont believe it*

they can then introduce rules where your wage bill can only be x% of your revenue...

when villa have a 20 goal striker (!) we won't be able to pay him a quarter of what haaland earns but man city will still have enough left in their tank to pay him more than we can to be a sub

* £400k per week basic, then win bonus, appearance bonus, goal bonus, assist bonus, those bonuses would need to be £100k + £100k + say £75k per goal and yeah they might not have known he would score this many but playing and winning they would know, maybe more tied in to image rights and they've sold a load of shirts or something but i just dont see it, more likely to be man city are flying the league is a bit boring more or less everybody seems to like haaland and is enjoying him do this so let's give them a slap with a bit of negativity and how unfair all of this is

Where the hell has City's revenue come from? Prize money isn't that sort of numbers and they don't seem to have as many plastics as even Chelsea, and Man u and Liverpool are light years ahead with the amount of plastics. Got to be fake revenue surely?

everyone was down in terms of matchday revenue due to corona so stadium revenue wasnt as important

CL final run paid them mega money like £100m+, they also did well in the other cups, they also slightly fiddled the books and took some of the TV money from a different season and of course they're now on TV a lot

they've then also expanded their partnership deals with a mixture of proper and fiddled deals, for example newcastle have now got their record breaking £7.5m deal with their saudi mates for a sleeve sponsor, city will be able to go out and get a better one via genuine means because they are a better team, citys will be worth double newcastles (villas will stay around £1m)

more than anything it shows what the CL is, keeps the big boys very rich

Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s earning over £1m a week. League doesn’t care.

Goes to show the base salary is irrelevant these days.

They can have £300k/w and it not even be the main part of their club earnings.

The Abu Dhabi family, the Saudis, the Qataris…

All these oil sheikhs who are members of the royal families of sovereign nations famous for human rights abuses and people trafficking…

They don’t even give a toss about the sports they are “investing” in…

The World Cup, LIV golf, heavyweight boxing fights, Man City, PSG, Newcastle…

They just love sneering and proving to everyone that they can put a price on everything and anything and pay it without breaking a sweat…

It would just be really nice for once… just once… for someone to have some principles… for someone to stick the middle finger up at them, tell them to stick their money up their arses and call them out for what they are…
