His ball control & crossing are not very good but he has a very good football brain.

One thing he can do particularly well though is pop little passes in behind the defence. I think he'll feed Bent a few once he gets up and running if he is played in behind the striker(s).

I would caution against expecting instant results though. He will need at least a couple of months to get used to the Premiership.

Is Holman like an Aussie James Milner? Reading about him, sounds like it. A proper grafter, versatile, grabs a few goals. At least McLeish did something seemingly good whilst he was here. Did the same with Blue's before he left there and got them in Chris Burke.

Bit of both.

Huge workrate. Great engine. Can put the odd one away but not the most naturally gifted player when on the ball. Will be all over the park but usually in a more offensive role.

Oh, and he just won the Aussie PFA "player of the year" award.
