Nice pay off for the pair.

It wasn't an easy job, desperate lack of talent available but the ambition, the style, the attitude towards change or implementing a system for the future  was truly **** pathetic. There is accepting losses and poor performances as part of a bigger plan or picture and then there is just accepting losses whilst doing the same shit that is benefitting nobody. A total waste of 2 years.

It actually enrages me and I don't even support Ireland, despite my family all coming from there. Coaches and managers just stealing a **** living. At Sunderland everyone knew MON was never there, he was never on the training pitch.

If either of them work again in football I will be truly amazed.

*Discounting either of them taking charge of someone like  Iran or Jordan in the near future.

MON will have a PL job by this time next year, this will be the players he had to work with, the myth will continue, he'll probably even be linked to the Utd job again when jose gets bulleted

Keane will disappear in to the world of TV pundit becoming more and more of a parody

Bruce and MON gone in a month. Football is officially fun again

Two absolute frauds of managers living off unwarranted reputations propped up by friends in the media, and in MON's case suing anyone critical of him where possible.

Ireland fans dont expect qualify for tournaments but at least expect to give a go and he was starting 6 defenders. Think Ireland had 3 shots on target in entire Nations League. It wasnt a group with Spain and Germany but Denmark and Wales. 2 countries of similar style

Doesnt help his complaints that other MON is doing a good job with probably a worse squad in North

Exactly.  We don't have the greatest squad, but they're way better than how O'Neill was utilising them.  A bit like the Bruce effect at Villa.  If we can get someone with any kind of a philosphy that isn't to defend to the death, then we'll be OK.  We'll never be world beaters, but the **** dirge we were being served up was way below the worst of what Steve Bruce dished out.  The painful irony is that Bruce is one of the early favourites to take over.

Should go all out for Lars Lagerbäck and steal him from Norway.

He'd be perfect.

You know Bruce is the favourite for the ROI job right?

:) He's exactly the kind of dull unimaginative appointment the FAI would make too. They should look closer to home this time. We've some decent current and ex club managers over here. Go the Dean Smith route and give an up and coming with nouse a chance. What's to lose?
