:) He's exactly the kind of dull unimaginative appointment the FAI would make too. They should look closer to home this time. We've some decent current and ex club managers over here. Go the Dean Smith route and give an up and coming with nouse a chance. What's to lose?

Nah, they will bring back mad Mick.

No surprise the in form club players in Ireland squad in recent years that didnt get games are out questioning MON training methods.

Doherty and Hourihane have been critical with Doherty being very honest and no cliches

Jon Walters has retired through injury. Not the most talented or greatest player but a proper warrior. Would run through brick walls for the team. One of last hardmen in football

No shock Stoke collapsed when lost characters like him and Whelan

Even against Gibraltrar Conor has no balls to actually get on the ball in the middle of the pitch or get on it amongst the action.
Why he is picking up dead balls and spending the entire half 7 yards away from Duffy and Keogh at all times.
Passing sideways.

Perhaps because his defensive minded coach told him to?

The dodgy association are before a government committee at the momemt and the governing body have frozen funds to the FAI as of yesterday

This was because the head of the FAI tried to get an injunction from the media reporting why he personally loaned the FAI €100000

This just in.  FAI in 'being exactly as dodgy as everyone suspected' shocker.  Absolute sheisters.

I think the tennis ball protest woke up the politicians into getting some free publicity and votes. Journalists for a whole in Ireland have been shocking regarding the reporting in recent years

FAI Issue Carefully Worded One Finger Statement To Irish Public

FAI-1.jpg

IN A BID to bring much needed clarity to the evidence given by their organisation to the Oireachtas Sports Committee yesterday, the FAI has released a carefully worded one finger statement directly to the Irish public.

Seeking to offer a more considered testimony that gives a better account of themselves, the FAI released a hand drawn picture of a hand flipping the middle finger, which is commonly used to denote the phrase ‘**** you’.

Many members of the public were angered by the evasive and purposefully meandering answers given by FAI representatives who rarely addressed questions posed by the few TDs and Senators that weren’t shamefully attempting to glue their tongues to the hole of John Delaney.

Asked why his colleagues persisted with a tactic of obfuscation when asked perfectly reasonable questions which the Irish public and football supporters were entitled to answers on, and indeed why he himself refused to answer questions, Delaney was candid.

“On legal advice I refer you to the one finger FAI statement made earlier,” confirmed Delaney.

Asked once more by the Irish public on the issue of the €100,000 bridging loan, and why board members and the honorary treasurer were not informed, John Delaney and the FAI were uncharacteristically open, honest and forthright: “Yiz can **** read can’t ya? We refer you back to our original statement”.

This under 19s side are a bit tasty.  In with the big boys now in their European Championships.  Unfortunately, Jonathan Afolabi, scorer of the opener against Czech Republic is suspended.
