neil324
When talking about "Bent meltdown" the only manager to cause such a scene would be Moyes. Ancelotti? Not really, he has been mentioned in the media and I think all should see the possible downside in having him here. A very expensive mistake so to speak. Imagine the crowd at Villa Park when he signed  It's surely only a case if Moyes would come, because if Lerner had the chance and never took it with both arms, then the Villa is fooked going forward. CitizenBlue
Turned on Talkshite and they said you made contact with Fat Spanish Waiter. McClaren or FSW... surely Lerner can find better? Hughton and Di Matteo at least have a clue about football and they're out of work.

nik986
I really dont want FSW. Pretty much anyother manager in the world i'd give a chance, even second choice schteve. I hate FSW with a passion - wont be renewing season ticket if thats the case, i will put the money towards buying a house instead!

brummybloke
From what MM said it sounds like Moyes the reference to holiday hints at moyes, however why would moyes be akin to the bent meltdown? moyes is not a top manager, he is a good manager but not a top manager darren bent has always been a top goal scorer my hope is that CA is on holiday and it is he we are talking of. van gaal being my second choice ( and that is only because he hasnt managed in the premier league) moyes or benitez is more the expected sort of manager, not bad but nothing to get excited about. they are better though than the likes of what people appeared content with earlier such as hughes, martinez, coyle and other poor to average managers of average clubs i would be happy with benitez or rijkaard i would be ok with moyes but i would be disapointed if we couldnt get anyone better than moyes . i would see it as another chance to greatly improve, lost. Troglodyte Posted June 8, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted June 8, 2011 On the subject of rafa or wally, I've decided for sure that either of these are appointed and I definitely wont renew my season ticket. Whether that makes me less of a fan, oh well, me missus wants to get pregnant and I cant justify to myself making an exception to go and watch either of those clowns.I'm sorry but when you support a team you support a team regardless of the manager. I'd still go and watch Villa even if we were in the conference and Dowie was our manager and I'm sure the very large majority of people on here would too. I'm sorry that your sorry, I'd have an easier time watching us in lower leagues than watching us under either of them. If the misses didn't want a baby and all then I would probably put up with them, circumstances dictate that it aint worth it as I despise the pair of them. Way to support Aston Villa. mjames333
I'm not a fan of Coyle either. Had a good few months but not the genius the media try to make him out to be. Roberto Martinez is more impressive by far. Not that I want him either. Moyes or Ancelotti would make be very happy. FSW I would be alright with but not exactly excited. Villarocker
I have probably missed what MysteryMan said but reading between the lines of the last few posts I guess he has said that he envisages another meltdown on here similar to that of when we signed Benty in January? Has anyone considered that a meltdown can be because of a negative reaction as well as a positive one? Maybe we are looking to employ a manager who is not going to be well received and MM can see a moaning meltdown on the horizon! Personally, I hope that it is a positive meltdown and Villa announce that Louis Van Gaal has put pen to paper on a 4 yeard deal to manage the mighty Villans!! QuintonK6
I've put £100 @ 12/1 with paddy power for Moyes. Can't resist that price - I'm sure the General is reading this forum daily and the obvious support for Moyes (Not by everyone before I get shot down but the majority as in the polls) Is being relayed to Randy. He surely must be on the hit list and Everton must be approached just so we can rule him out If anything before we start the interview process. If they appoint a vile pig like Rafa they are alienating a big portion of the fans. People pay to support a team they can get behind, i physically hate Rafa Benitez and will stop watching football if he becomes our manager. I will also do what i can to voice my displeasure at Randy. Rafa Benitez is a gutter swine piece of shit ****. He better stay the **** away from Villa.

JulieB
Why on Earth would anybody want Owen Coyle ffs :? Are we not wanting Aston Villa to be moving onward and upward I don't think it will be but I'd just like to point out that at some point younger talent needs to be given a chance! Moyes was an Owen Coyle though before he managed Evedrton FC. I'm sure Kenwright and co interviewed a number of candidates and decided he was the best man for the job because he impressed them. I would hope that Villa's board would have a good look round and possibly interview a few candidates to see who likewise impressed them equally. If Villa announced Owen Coyle or Martinez with possibly GH as DOF if and when he gets better, I for one would at least give them a chance!
