  1. It's only a matter of time until the media begin to question McLeish's managerial ability. I've noticed a lot of pundits and commentators have made a few damning comments on his defensive style and how Villa should not be playing football like they are. I personally reckon it's just a matter of time until the nationwide media join us in our hatred. Tick-tock, Tick-tock. It really is a shame because he seems like a nice guy Eck. But sadly this is football and he is still on millions of pounds and our squad should be in the top half of the table at least and should be playing good football (sadly we are doing neither of the two). The other sad thing is even if we win a few of our next few games I have no confidence in him getting our side to play "Good Attractive Football" which we long to see at Villa Park but has been missing for a great many years. Maybe its the defensive set up of teams now which makes such football hard to produce but even if this is the case Eck teams have a reputation for playing "Ugly Stuff" I know this is only a minor point but why do people say he seems like a nice guy? More to the point, WTF has it got to do with the price of bread?
  2. Every time I've heard a West Ham fan on the radio this season they've complained about the dire football under Allardyce. Yeah, my West Ham supporting mate was whinging about Allardyce the other day. Apparently they hardly ever score goals from open play any more. If I were them I'd just be happy they were on target for promotion again. They're top of the league what more could they want?! Some free flowing Dutch football, like you see at the Villa?
  3. Some of the comments from Mcleish over the last few days are strange, seriously is he all there?
  4. I don't think the appointment of Mcleish was just a bad decision by Randy. I think a lot went on to appointment a new manager and a few turned us down, so Mcleish was some what desperation maybe. Even if he sacks Mcleish which is a big if who will come in and what will be available to strength the squad. We have to much dead wood on long term contracts bleeding the club dry. Dark days indeed.
  5. True, he didn't listen with the last protests. Any protests now might make him dig his heels in and drag it out. Lerner needs to first accept to himself he was wrong before going public and sacking the manager. Given the circumstances this looks like it's going to be a difficult decision for him to take. I think from a business prospective he is all to aware what relegation would bring, hence the Bent signing. He's many things but not stupid and alarm bells will be ringing after watching the game yesterday. So bearing this in mind we can only hope he acts sooner rather than later.
  6. Quote from John Barnes yesterday,
