  1. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15999771.stm Frankly it is very believable given what happened and knowing what our board are like given some of the terrible decisions they have made in past 18 months. Oh ok then, must be true.
  2. There is a hell of a lot of allegedly there. A normal problem when fans get themselves all worked up and make it seem 100 times worse than it actually is.
  3. He wasn't doing any of that during O'Neill. Was he a terrible owner then, were you moaning about him then? I'm guessing thats a no. Go find this owner that can find a quality manager then, they are all waiting there ready to snap up premier league clubs. You don't think there is any possibility that Learner is actually not that great at running sporting franchises? His record since owning the Browns is very poor. Is it unthinkable that he might be making a hash of it here as well? It could be said that our early success was more down to MON acting as a director of football and now without a manager as involved Learner's shortcommings are being exposed. Most defiantly. But its not as bad as its liked to be portrayed by some.
  4. One week of Tevez's wages could save them as well. Football is wrong on so many levels. FANS upwards.
  5. He wasn't doing any of that during O'Neill. Was he a terrible owner then, were you moaning about him then? I'm guessing thats a no. Go find this owner that can find a quality manager then, they are all waiting there ready to snap up premier league clubs.
  6. I have done read! The simple fact is that the only change from now and when everyone was happy is that he spent money and had O'Neill. He didn't say what was going on much then, same as now. We had the so called terrible board then, same as now. He went to games and missed some games, same as now. If Randy did two things in January he would suddenly be brilliant manager. Spend shit loads and got rid of the manager. All the other things people think of to have a go would be forgotten, good owner! Fans seem to think its easy to run football clubs, balance books, appoint a new manager month by month based on results. Would you have been happy with Pardew before he went to Newcastle, probably not, would you be happy now properly yes? He is not going to sack him, just enjoy supporting club and if you cannot then i dunno, read a book. There is nothing wrong with expectations, but realistic ones. Unfortunately the money that fans are so obsessed with has ruined any history and what it means.
  7. Oh so he has done some good things as well as bad things, you mean like all other owners not perfect?
  8. Not if you believe some Villa fans we're at that same point!
  9. You really do ignore most things don't you which makes your pathetic moaning at fans even more ridiculous. My pathetic moaning about pathetic moaners you mean? You seemed to have ignored all my previous points anyway surprisingly. I've seen you make comments about how you want to enjoy watching Villa and feel like they are going someone. What so if thats not the case you wont enjoy it, you wont enjoy being a supporter? Your not a supporter then and missing the point massively!
  10. My biggest gripe with Lerner is about the actual football though, not the fact he has stopped spending so much money. It's the shambolic nature of the last two appointments. Again in your opinion, its easy in hindsight and i dont understand either. But unless he wants to make us shit and get relegated he must have thought there were some merit in them. Who would have thought Pardew would be doing such a good job before he went to Newcastle, owners have to think past prejudices of fans for an appointment? Other managers have relegated teams and done well at other clubs, doesn't make sense to me as i said but i doubt they just picked him willy nilly. Fans dont like to consider that though, its just he is shit, they are shit, the CEO is shit; its like there needs to be some pantomime villain to moan and blame everything on.
  11. In your opinion. You bang on about running a football club but you have no idea what happened. Perhaps Hughes was approached but wanted similar controls to O'Neill or something we couldn't offer him, hence why he was not considered. Its never going to be as simple as, should have got him he would have been good, 100% we didn't so we're shit. I'm not short sighted, god knows why we appointed Ek he is shit (as i said above and many other times) perhaps he was appointed to make us worse and go down, because that would make sense!
  12. No one does. Like i said, did you hold this same idiotic view when doug was in charge? I dont give a shit about Doug, last time i looked he just had an office and a parking space. I didn't piss and moan claiming the world was going to end because Doug was tight as arse and made up stories. I had a club to support, sometimes good sometimes bad like every other club apart from the mega rich. Fans not just Villa fans need to get a grip, money money money thats it, forget about the actual football.
  13. Yeah its not great never said it is, but finding a perfect manager is not easy for any club or any manager, a solid one is like gold dust. Fans shouldn't be trusted though, at the start of the season Arsenal fans were calling for Wengers head with names such as Coyle as a suggestion. The same Coyle that this season has come a cropper and proven not all that, whilst Wenger has come good again. If they had listened to some moronic fans they would be even worse! Lerner's decided on Eck, god knows why he is shit, but i dont know what he could or couldn't afford or what basis it may or may not have on the running of the club. So go ahead sack him, get someone else in that will instantly be good, not piss off any fans/players and cost no money to move all parties around. Job done. Saying he is shit get someone else doesn't work in the real world i'd imagine.
  14. Because they are bound to spend lots of money and take Villa to the top Ah ok, thank you. In that case Randy out! New random bloke in! It's all clear now, you obviously are concerned about Randy's ability to pick the right man, much as everybody else is. It is the only conclusion I can come to that explains your absolute worry about new owners. I guess looking at his recent background for applintments and choices both here and America, it's understandable you'd worry about his decision making the next time a big choice comes along. Why have you posted that again? I'm more interested how people KNOW that a new owner will be better? So quick to want him out for err... threatening the future of the club, asset stripping, not building a decent training ground perhaps selling it, not trying to balance the books and spending will nilly. Oh.. he has just stopped spending, stopped telling everyone everything (which has never done) and appointed an unpopular manager. Shit i thought it was something actually serious then, rather than people exaggerating things massively to make it sound worse than it is?
  15. The difference's between getting a players signing right or wrong and getting the owner change right or wrong are massive. Its laughable that you even compare the two to be honest. Not wanting Randy gone doesn't mean i think he is perfect or can do no wrong, show me where i have said that without just making it up... You cannot be fickle about owners like players, far too much is at stake. Like err the existence of the club. You really have lost the plot as well if you think nobody can be much worse than Randy, how about the owners of Blackburn, who make bonkers decisions left right and centre? All Randy has really done is try and stabilise the club, got a manager in who vast majority of fans think is shit and doesn't tell everyone every single thing! If you can only be happy when we're spending money and apparently 'challenging' then there is no point you supporting Villa, because in years to come it might be like that, then again it might not. Your missing the point of the word 'support' as that would imply you would support them whatever. You seem to only like supporting when money is being spent and you feel like we're going to achieve something. Because if its not then the owner is shit, manager is shit, everything is shit. As shit as Darlington, are their owners on par with Randy, is it really that bad? Once again what about the hundreds of other clubs, are all their fans miserable and depressed because they feel they are not going anywhere? Are they not happy when their teams scores or wins, obviously not if you were to believe Villa fans!
