Spoke to one last weekend at a wedding, he's convinced the stadium will save them, wouldn't have it any other way

Deluded

They've convinced themselves it's the root of their problems

Even if they get into their new stadium middle/end of next season (finances permitting) and they're still in the Premier league at that point, it will take years for the increase in revenue to have any benefit. They're so far in debt and they have one of the worst squads in the league. And who's going to pay new stadium prices to watch that group of players play Dycheball?

Disgraceful from them. Absolutely disgusting performance.

Dyche has his limitations but my God. When you get that level of effort from players what are you meant to do.

They could finish bottom below Luton and Sheff Utd.

A lot of clowns in that squad but they had no attacking desire. The sub at half time Dutton(I think) was the only one to try take us on

We conceded 5 last week and we should have been rattled in the first 10 minutes

Yep, the new stadium and it's increased commercial revenue isn't going to give them better training facilities, youth infrastructure and sensible transfer policy

They're an absolute mess

The new stadium is what will save them.

The amount of European football tourism that it will generate will be good for the whole city and good for Everton.

It’s a crazy night here in Liverpool, as sports fans from all over europe fly in and book up every hotel room to see Everton vs Plymouth.

I won't post the link here, but Onana has been racially abused after the game by one of Everton's fans on Instagram.

Hope they go down, and the moron who sent the message gets what's coming to him. There's no place for it in this world.

Bad start to the season for them, then there's Maupay's long, long run without scoring, now DCL with a new injury...yeah they could go down this time.

But like last season, again I don't think they will.

  • Perhaps DCL has a small cheek fracture but he might be back playing in about 5 or 6 weeks with one of those face masks.
  • Yes, today they were bad but Dyche is a good manager to sort them out, make them hard to beat and keep them up again.
  • And last season their many demanding, passionate fans fired up the team to stay up and they started playing well again. That 5-1 at Brighton was stunning.

Just popped on to their forum (grandoldteam) .....jeez..... they really are bitter and depressed  ! Michael Keane seems to be the main fall guy there.

Smacks of us the year we went down. Grim stuff.

True on the fans but we know ourselves that patience runs out and apathy sets in. Fans can't keep the team going forever

They have been teetering for a few seasons now, maybe it's their time?

Be a close thing as Sheff Utd, Luton might have a bit more fight about them than many thought.

Dobbin and Danjuma look the best players they have...

On paper their midfield looks OK, Dwight McNeill did ok for them last season too....maybe that might be enough?
