TrentVilla Posted August 22, 2011 Moderator Share Posted August 22, 2011 Nobody is going to take him off our hands, we are stuck with him. He will either find his form again or he won't but either way it will be in our colours. The only manager who might take him would be Mark Hughes but seeing as he hasn't got a job at the moment and isn't likely to any time soon with a club that would pay Ireland's wages we might have to wait a while. Agreed, but I wouldn't rule him out quite yet. There's a long season ahead. We just need him chomping at the bit when he gets his chance. Hopefully it starts by single-handedly knocking Hereford out of the cup.

Bazdavies79
If he doesn't get selected for the next game I think his future here will be looking quite bleak.
wiggyrichard
He will feature against Hereford, AM is not going to change a winning squad. So unless we lose or someone gets injured he's just got to wait and be patient. He will get a chance in the league at some stage.

Its amazing how a win can make people forget just how small our squad is. Its size makes it virtually impossible for people like Ireland and Makoun, not to get a chance. Its up to them to take it when it comes. One will, the other wont, no guesses in whom.

People will pick up knocks like Gabby has, people will get suspended like Delph will, we are competing in 3 comp' so i expect AM to rotate a little. mjmooney Posted August 22, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted August 22, 2011 We just need him chomping at the bit when he gets his chance.Unfortunately he doesn't strike me as a "chomping at the bit" type of player.

Richard
In fact been thinking about my previous comment re getting 2M for him, to be honest if someone would take him from us I give him away without a fee.

This. With his £68k/week wages off the books we could easily find a DM and a winger to give our squad the depth it needs.

markavfc40
Played well tonight and second only to Bannan who was man of the match. Linked up well with Albrighton and Bannan especially. Obvisously the level of oppostion wasn't great but he was always involved and with a little more luck and composure in front of goal could have had a couple of goals. mikeyp102
Wasn't impressed with him tonight...missed 2 sitters. And didn't seem to offer much. Very Laissez faire approach. Ran with the ball a couple of times and knocked a couple of balls about, but nothing special. He also made a couple of awful passes to players less than 5 metres away, in fact at one point played the ball over the top of clark who had to go go chasing back towards our own goal...
